Anyway... talking with you is always so unpleasant. I guess you mean well. I guess. But I can barely stand talking to you for more than 10 minutes. I keep pulling the phone away from my ear. So all I hear is, "You have...and you...because..." Then I just say something general when I think you're done talking and hope it fits whatever you said last.

Both of my parents passed away last year within 5 months of each other, and I still occasionally catch myself off guard. Just this morning I was looking at the store ads and thought "Hey, Mom's coffee is on sale...wonder if they're home from church yet." (as in, I was going to call to let her know)

My dad died 4 years ago, this past March. Yes, it does seem pretty fresh at times.

My Oma passed away this past Christmas Eve. I still drive past her apartment and go to call her to see if she's home and if I can pop in.

Typos. How do I type the word but when I meant to type the word plus? That is the one thing that baffles me the most about my typing. It's not just a few times that I do that. I could  or just take it as something I need to work on.
People going back and picking apart my sentences actually helps me. I do have a lot of knowledge to share but it doesn't always come out sounding knowledgeable. I totally get how that is off putting and confusing. Who wants to try to translate a bunch of well meaning gibberish?
Sometimes there is more underneath the surface than appears at first. I feel like a fledging learning to fly for the first time. It is a new and often terrifying thing to try to interact with other people. But I just had a lightbulb moment...most people many not understand me but do 'get' me when they know me.

I should have worked this weekend after being out of the office for 3 days last week. But I did not. I do not want to go to work tomorrow. Yuck yuck yuck.
On another note I think our industry is picking up. In the past month I have had 3 headhunters contact me. I am not looking but it is good to know the job market might be getting better.

Hugs to all who have lost someone! It should also be said that there will come a point when you'll have lots of lighter moments as well. For a long as I remember, my mom had a habit of writing her name on stuff in permanent marker - I guess from years ago when you'd lend stuff to other people?  She *really* wanted to make sure she got her stuff back! A few days ago I ran out of masking tape and remembered I had brought a roll from her house when we cleaned it out last year. I found it and when I went to get some off the roll, there was her name written inside the cardboard tube. Masking tape, people! I just had to laugh...

My mom died 21 years ago but I realize everytime that I look in the mirror she isn't gone. I see her looking back at me the older I get.
