I do this to myself by sticking my two cents in where it doesn't belong or fit. It doesn't matter that my intentions are good and not trying to rub anyone the wrong way. I still haven't learned to stay out from where I don't belong. Or follow my better judgment to just read and not reply. I'm too damn old to be still like this.

I'm still thinking about that chicken banh mi I had. I mean, I never thought a chicken banh mi could be be that good. Of course, it started with super juicy fried chicken and I swear it was injected with Maggi sauce.  Damn that was good!

One of my classmates asked to meet up and study tomorrow. (Aside I hesitated because I'm not very good at studying at school which is odd because at home I study in my bed, fall asleep, wake up and back to work, but school is too damn distracting!)
I don't know if she's struggling or if she doesn't care but she doesn't show strong work ethic.
I was asked to be part of a study group and the expressed that they didn't want her to be a part of it. She is ostracised by most of the class and since we are the only two people in my programme I kinda feel like we have to stick together but I don't know how much I can help her. I put in a lot of hours trying to understand the material and I don't know how much work she has done. I'm really worried for her and that she will waste four hours of my time tomorrow. I need to finish studying so that tomorrow can be more revision than trying to study and not getting anything done.

Don't ever think that, Speckla! Your opinion is just as relevant as anyone elses. Unfortunately, some people feel the need to put others down to feel better about themselves. The only thing you need to do is not let them get to you.

(((bwavy))) It's hard when they are both gone, eh? My mom died when I was 25 and my dad died when I was 31. Both much too young to go. Definitely changes your perspective on things.
And hugs to all the curlies who have lost their loved ones, too. ((((curlies)))

The landlady isn't answering my phone calls (after her ass been gone for a month).
I am really bouncing around the idea of finding some other place to live next year. When it rains water comes up through the pipes and floods the bathroom tub. The microwave is broke. The roof leaks. We are having a dengue fever outbreak and there aren't any mosquito nets on the screens, something we asked for BEFORE we moved in. I'm going to see how long it will take for her to call me back. She needs her two months worth of rent month, so we SHALL SEE!

LA, I can't imagine what it was like for you and others who lost their parents so young. I'm 53, and yes, it's very hard. I guess we're never ready for that. It's a very strange feeling knowing they're gone. I feel oddly "untethered" - best way I can think to put it.
