I bet I would cry if I saw Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. It's been a very long time since I've seen it.

I do feel oddly sad when I think of the song.

I met Mr Rogers once. I was a teen and did not fully appreciate it. He was so nice, of course. Exactly like on tv.

My mother needs help. Getting her to accept is proving to be very difficult. I am pretty sure she qualifies for SNAP, but she do what is necessary to get it. Now, I am wondering if there is a chance she qualifies for veteran benefits. My dad served in the army, but I don't know all of the details. She is a master at not giving info she does not want to give.

I text her: "B said your shoulder was bothering you. Are you okay?
Also, I was wondering when dad served in the army. What
years was he there? Do you have any of his papers?"

She immediately texts back: "I am in a lot of pain. Taking new medicine. Taking the dogs for a walk."

A few min later: " it is 72. Dogs need to go out."

Just flat out ignores me about info I want.

Yes ruralcurls - that is so frustrating. I had that issue when my mom was alive.

For those of you who miss Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, please, please google Mitt Romney's neighborhood by Jimmy Fallon. It will surely give you a good laugh!

YAY!!! My car is back to normal!! It felt all sassy and proud of its self on the highway coming home-not all dejected and dented.

I have been watching the Cosby Show in syndication on the TV land channel. I forgot how funny it was!

Two more people in my department resigned today. I'm not the least bit sad as those leaving are low level workers, but that's just my opinion. I didn't hire them to begin with. Personally, when the director left last month, morale went down. The director was a lassez-faire kind of manager. I am not the kind of person that needs micromanaging as I'm productive and on point but there are those who aren't productive unless somebody's up their butt. A lot of people think the next director won't be so laid back and won't let them get away with a lot of the crap they get away with now, so they're taking a pre-emptive strike and flying out the door. As for me, I've worked with all kinds so nothing phases me but I have to wonder what these people think they'll be facing in their next job.

I wish I did not get so irritated when people break the rules. But it is so freaking blatant. And what fun can it be when you have to hide? So what is the point? I do not get it.

It is too early in the season for me to have a cold. My daughter finds my sneezing comical and she's starting to mimick my sounds. Glad my sniffles are funny to someone

PBS developed a new cartoon based on Daniel Tiger. It has all the characters from the Land of Make Believe. He does the songs too! My little one was watching it while I was making dinner and I started singing along. Thats when I found out I will always cry.

That, and bc this makes me cry too.

Word to the wise: if you don't want to cry, don't look up Mr. Rogers' lifetime Emmy speech. You will bawl.

*blinks back tears just looking at the links*

I don't think I can do that to myself right now. I'm too exhausted to not lose it.

Yeesh!

That was not my kind of thing. I'm too empirical to believe in that stuff.

Also, I do not see the appeal of A. He seemed.......effete.
