It's okay  I know how it feels to just want to sit alone and the sense of dread you feel knowing you are coming to the fight or argument and how hard it is to feel stuck in your own situation.

Story time: something like 3 different college soccer teams were staying at the same hotel as us this past weekend. Oh man were they unintelligent. My group got essentially an entire wing of hotel conference rooms because there were so many of us, and they wandered over there by accident, the complete opposite side of the lobby from the elevators. When we tried to point them in the right direction they went in the complete opposite direction... into a dead end.
Didn't stop us from sitting in the lobby to talk and stare at them for half an hour, though.

Thank you for the support and advice everybody.
The thing is, I TRULY thought I've been doing a good job. On Friday, my tips were fantastic, and I had THREE tables tell me I was a great waitress.
It's funny, I think that the one table felt neglected because I was so wrapped up in the party of 9, which ended-up saying I was terrible anyway.
I submitted to two restaurants today (one is a small vegan place with no bar. I don't eat meat, so I was drawn to it). I also went into two Ann Taylors and both said they were hiring. It should be easy to get a retail job right now.
I'm so frustrated and feel so, so, SO DUMB.

No, mon cherie. You are a brilliant lady. You try to help everyone and enrich the lives of those around you. There is nothing stupid about that.
You are doing a good job, the fact that other patrons have complimented you means that you ARE doing a great job.
People tend to complain more than we compliment which is why it may seem like you messed up, there a people rooting for you both here one, IRL and regular customers at your restaurant.
Never give up CIBC. You are the lady who sent out thousands of resume and NEVER GAVE up. I have talked about you as a lesson in persistence. Please, never doubt yourself.

I concur, having a crush is great feeling! I use it as a reason to do my hair nicely and pick out cute outfits.
I have a crush (but not a REAL crush, more like a I-like-to-stare-at-your-arms-because-your-muscles-are-amazing kind of thing) on the cute guy in my history class and he laughed at a dumb math joke I made today sooo...I think we'll have a spring wedding.

I'm meeting with that Temp Agency lady who was anxious to place me before. She seemed to really like me. I was really honest with her about things, and she said I'll feel better and will be more marketable as soon as I start working full-time again.
Also put my applications in at a few stores for at least seasonal work for now.
At the end of the day, on a bad day, I have come home with $3 in my pocket. It's really not a great loss...just a major blow to my ego.
