Frankly, this sort of comment ticks ME off because it disregards the seriousness of mental illness, from which this woman was clearly suffering. :/ From what I understand, she had burns over 60% of her body. That's some pretty heavy **** right there.
Yes to both. Comments are incredibly callous about her illness and there's tons of people going on about "liberals" who think racism still exists, and oh, usually these things are made up, and black people hate white people, etc.. Yeah, **** you.

This is the opposite of that story about the woman in Washington who threw acid on her own face and then said that a black woman did it.

Ok y'all, lemme tell you...

Do not, I repeat DO NOT attempt to enter Costco through the OUT door. You will practically be accosted and ushered through the IN door and verbally reprimanded AND given the stink eye.

Actually, HuffPo had an article about this last night. I meant to post it but was so absorbed by the debate that I totally forgot.

Sharmeka Moffitt, Louisiana Woman, Tells Police 3 Men Set Her On Fire, Wrote KKK On Her Car

It's still on the front page as of 11:15 am.

Tragic and sickening.
The attack was a hoax. I thought it was from the start. But I didn't bother posting because I didn't want to get the nc dander up.

I bought 11 pounds of candy today for Halloween (just wanted to make it clear this isn't something I do all the time, although I want to) and it's probably not a good thing that I also started my period today.

It's pitiful and before I could stop her she jumped off the couch. She is now hiding in the hallway, growling.

She had a nasty splinter. Part of it was still in her paw, but it was hard to see. They got it out, she bled so much and rather than cauterizing the wound he (a guy standing in for my normal vet) wrapped a bandage around it. Well, the sticky part he put around the top just worked it's way up her arm. I had to remove it, she almost removed my face, and that part of the bandage removed part of her fur. She is normally so nice, but does not do well when I play doctor. At some point I have to remove the rest of this bandage. She is too antsy and jumping on and off things non stop, but I am sure she will try to kill me when I do.

Her brother who has never hissed in his life is now terrified of me, growling and hissing at me.

This is unimaginable. Too much horror to grasp. This is right up there with the pictures of the meth addicts who take krokodil. I simply ... can't.

I found some old bath salts tonight. My funny and sweet stoner neighbor said, "Hey, cool!" when I told him.

He laughed when I said he'd be the first person I eat.

Fifi,
It'll settle down as she feels better. Cats are like people when it comes to pain. It's hard to be sweet and nice when you feel bad. She'll heal and be back to the usual sweetness. Her brother is just reacting to her fear and probably the fear hormones she's giving off. They love you!! It's the pain they're reacting to and not you.
