I feel for you curlies on the coast. Stay safe! We even have high wind and heavy rain watches this far in.
Kiva! Microfinance works.

Med/Coarse, porous curly.
There were tons of cops out!

Today's trainee was awesome. Way better than that dude last week. Ugh.

I'm baffled about military people complaining about people getting government funded health care. You and your families get it. You're not better than everyone else.

That implies that only a certain class of folks deserve health care though.

"Why Rihanna and Karrueche agree to share Chris Brown?"

He is such a stand up guy. Who wouldn't want to share him?

NC, you should be ashamed of yourselves.
Just saw a guy with an Obama mask hope its for true blood!! That would make me happy
TextureMedia gave a response that gave the impression they were sifting through content we would find valuble for trending topics.

However, Crowd Ignite decides what content we want to see.

Additionally, we are smart with what we show in the widget. We make sure the type of content that shows up in the widget is appropriate for the website. For example, we make sure that itís the right category of content, make sure that inappropriate content doesnít show up, and that the demographics match up (age, and gender).
They have so completely missed the mark.
I don't regret any of it. Because I loved you.

I'M GOING HOME!!!!! FINALLY SWEET BABY JEBUS!
I'm gonna bake so many things and my friend has the days off so we'll actually be able to hang out for real. And I'll be having that orange creamsicle dessert my friend is currently serving at his job.
SO EXCITE!!!

Here is an all-too-true quote by the way:

male privilege is "i have a boyfriend" being the only response that might actually stop a guy from coming onto you, because he respects another man more than he respects your actual opinion/lack of interest.
Mmmmhmmm. :/

I wasn't lying about how much I love my new jackets. This love affair is borderline obsessive.

I think I'll wear the other one for the first time tomorrow.

Now Billy, Billy don't you lose my number. Cause you're not anywhere, that I can't find you.

I heart Phil Collins, and can live without the Piano Man.

WS, it is absolutely a 'let me shoot my guns to show you what a bad asp meth dealer I am' situation. The thing is, they are not from here (they hail from the North) so I am not sure if they realize that gun fire doesn't really freak us locals out (we are used to target practice and hunters in the woods). Shooting for a long time every evening is annoying, disrespectful, and suspicious. I have thought about going outside and shooting my gun, early in the morning, while screaming "YOU SHOT MY GRANDPAW!!!" It could up my creepy mountain folk value.

I will pass on a meth lab explosion though

I am in the worst mood tonight. I hate being without water. I don't feel good or awake without a shower before work. We wont even talk about the state of my house.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

I love you, and you, and you, and you...yeah, I love you too.

I love my male friends. I love them all, and I'm missing the hell out of each and every one of them right now. Le sigh.
I ain't thirsty. There's plenty of fish in the sea, but I don't want all of them, can I have some standards? Or do we just have to settle, for someone's who meh and will do.

I miss the old days and I never complain. Is there somewhere else to go?
So I was in the self checkout packing up my groceries and this guy comes up with 40 of beer and a 36pack of diet coke. He rings himself up and lets his lame groceries slam into mine. There were other open lanes, both self checkout and regular. What the hell was his deal?

So I'm thinking my day turned out pretty well after all... until I got to court and had to run a bail that took over two hours and was denied and got to watch the family members crying.

I'm still smarting over that. There wasn't much I could have done and I did tell them that, but you always hope, and you always feel like you somehow failed.

He was so torn between compassion for the innocent child and his professional obligation to zealously advocate for his client, he nearly reconsidered his career choice. And it's no easier when the accused is innocent but has the deck stacked against him because of who he is.

Sometimes I wish he'd taken a job with a high-paying corporate firms like his classmates did, but then I know his work wouldn't be so gratifying.

I'm probably going to start taking certain Category "B" after Christmas - the more serious assaults, sexual assaults, break and enter and home invasions, etc. I won't get to Category "A" - murders, aggravated sexual assaults etc, or the majority of Category "B", for some time. I don't feel professionally or mentally/emotionally prepared for murders, torture, rape etc. just yet.

I guess I am lucky that this is a mixed system - meaning I have a bunch of Legal Aid files with LA clients paid by LA, where I have definite paycheques without chasing people and I get to help the indigent and feel good, but I can also take cash clients who can pay for their lawyer themselves, so I can ultimately make more money than my Legal Aid colleagues. I will probably move toward more of these and less of the LA clients, but still keep a significant amount of them too. I'm also not doing strict criminal defense, as you sometimes need a break from the horror, so I'm also lucky to be able to do human rights/poverty law files through Legal Aid because I worked with them on those in the past, and there's also the option of some immgration files.

I can't imagine working with a high-paid corporate firm. It's a good choice for some, but I would find it soul-sucking.
