Common man trait, I think.

Mr Man almost never gets sick. But if he does, he moans and groans and is audibly miserable. I feel bad BC I don't want him to be that sick, but sheesh, quiet over there!

Women are expected to still run a house when they're sick.

The ex was even worse. He'd somehow figured out a way to magnify the sound of a sniffle.

She just emailed me to ask if she should still come. Even though I would love to see her, I'm not sure that now would be a good time for her to visit. I don't know what to tell her.

So my dad has emphysema and has never been good with his personal hygiene. As he's gotten older, hygiene and general tidiness have become things he ignores and he stopped caring about cleaning his room OR keeping it clean after I come over and spend the day cleaning it (really, you can't throw away junk mail or old take out boxes? You can't even empty your bedpan thingie the next morning?) He also refuses to let the housemate's dogs outside during the day, so she has to clean up "accidents" after working a full day.
And the one person he might listen to about assisted living or home care, my mom's older sister, keeps insisting that he doesn't need it and we're all fibbing when we (me, my husband, dad's housemate) describe the condition of his room, etc.
Now she's all upset because my husband & I haven't talked to her in 4 days, because she said we all lie about him and then hung up.
I really don't like my family most days.

I know when I say I'm not feeling good the house ignores that I said anything thing and hopes it goes away.

Good thing it doesn't happen often. On both sides.

Okay, so I'm sorry I need to take one day (one day!) away from you, but, 24 hours does not equal you keeping them additionally for the next 2 weekends.

-Apparently I have the whining man gene in this relationship. Mr. Spring is the best patient ever when he's sick, but me? Oh boy, bring on the whine! I'm ridiculous and even annoy myself when I'm sick, such a baby.

-Some dill weed on our street put a sign on their door that said if you were over ____ amount of inches tall they wouldn't give you candy. I mean, really? Geesh. And I know this because a kid that trick-or-treated at our house showed it to us because he took it off their door. I know this is bad and he shouldn't have done it, but oh my word I was laughing on the inside. This sign was super elaborate with a ruler marked off in inches and everything.

-Cutest kid of the night goes to the little boy in the adorable lion costume. He came up the driveway "HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!" so enthusiastically and when Mr. Spring asked if he could give him his best rawr the little boy let out a huge "RAWWWWWR!!!" and had the biggest darn smile. After an evening of teenagers on cell phones who could barely be bothered to say thank you, the little boys enthusiasm and politeness was so nice.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
I was looted!

I put the candy bowl out for 20 minutes while I came in to inspect the kids candy. I heard one group of kids outside. Went back out, bowl was empty. Nice.

Okay so Michelle Thomas from Family Matters supposedly died from stomach cancer or something? Back in 1998?

But I swear. Swear, I'm seeing her in the new Lee jeans commercial! I can't find it anywhere. I feel a little crazy.

Seeing pictures of Sandy's aftermath is shocking me.
Those pictures remind me of Mexico City's earthquake in September 85.

I m praying for everyone there and hoping they re all well.
I hope everyone who was affected and from this site, is perfectly well.
I hope the death toll would not increase.
I hope no NC members lost anything due this horrible strom.

And I too hope, that liking a post, wasn t that difficult for us, people using Ipads.

I have the best GP ever I am SO THANKFUL for socialized healthcare.

Also, I have school too early, it's messing up my poop schedule. I DEMAND CHANGE!!!!
I had three adorable trick or treaters last night. A peacock, a panda with a tutu, and iron man. The Peacock and Panda had the cutest manicures that matched their outfits.

They are the only trick or treaters I have, so I put together gift bags for them. Glow sticks, coloring books, candy, etc. They said coming to my house is the bestest. Lol
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

I am growing increasingly frustrated with work. I like my job and I am good at it. My job is fairly stress free. Except I work with the most passive aggressive a-holes ever (except for one person). Alongside there is favoritism, a$$ kissing, double standards, and hypocrisy. I have learned to tolerate some people to keep the peace at work but it is growing harder and harder. And the worst part is that my boss enjoys their disingenuous behavior and the fact that they are FOS and phony as hell. I hate I am still stuck at this place after ten effing years and still only make ten dollars an hour. I shouldn't have to be this anxious from a simple job like mine.
