I would only be interested if it was on Facebook. I don't want yet another place to check. I can see all my groups on Facebook at one time (the Open and Secret ones all show up on my newsfeed but only the Open ones can be seen by the public). I feel much more exposed here than on Facebook. You can search something on Google and NC forum threads will pop up for anyone to see.
But if there is ever a mass exodus and any of you want to stay in touch on facebook, PM me for my name.
I do warn everyone tho - outside of NC I don't 'watch' myself as much as I do here. I am political, I curse, I am sometimes raunchy, I'm not always politically correct, etc. And I have a few embarrassing and gross friends and relatives. So, ya know, you have been warned.

i know it's annoying to have the ads show up on the pics, but i know that net dating sites put their logos on member's photos when they post them online.
it's pretty common; though generally not with advertising.

New blog post! I am keeping it up, dangit! I should really step up the pace, though, or it'll take me forever to get to Korra.
I am actually going to leave without reading all the posts I missed. I'm really doing it this time.
I hope my mom remembers that she agreed to take me to my rescheduled dentist appointment later. I need to ask for that nightguard.
Halloween is over now  but it was full of Halloween-y goodness!  And I can talk about it later because now it is time to sleep.

Woo! Today is the wedding! I can't believe it's finally here - I feel like we've been helping plan it for forever. Off to go get pampered soon...  I'll post pictures tomorrow of my final outfit, as requested!

Everyone just needs to get the curltalk app.  I see no adds on pictures, no blasted guru's, no trending topics, etc. Just an add or two, here and there, within a thread.

Well, if that is the argument, everyone does it, then there isn't a problem. This site currently looks like every other site out there. So much so that I wouldn't know this was a site about hair if I didn't already know this was a site about hair.

What about a google group? They're really easy to set up and can be made private/invite-only. If anyone wants to PM me their email address, I can set one up and send out invites. I don't think you have to have a google email to join.

i have the app on my tablet, but it's SO temperamental...
i have a Google+ account and second Miss A's suggestion about a group there.

Ok, I just set one up to actually see what it was like. It's really easy. Sooo, anyone who wants an invite, just PM me.
ETA: Just so you know, I will need your email address to send out the invites. I promise not to share them or publish them or do anything creepy.
I'm happy to "own" it for now, but can add other admins as needed/desired. An admin has the power to send out invites (and other stuff like moderate and whatnot, but I have no intentions of doing that...).

I've always perferred this type of forum layout instead of others like Facebook (I actually hate their layout with the fiery passion of 1000 suns). I haven't been to any Google forums so can't say about it.
I'm probably biased though by all the gaming forums I read that are similar to this.
