OMG!
my boss just nominated ME for a very special pilot project designed to develop admin staff into managers in the gov't!!!
they are only accepting 16 people from 4 ministries across the province for this pilot project, so the chances of my being accepted are slim to none, but it's like the Academy Awards - an honour just to be nominated!!!!!

Hey, guess what? Clint Eastwood just called me!! Well, actually it was a recording of Clint Eastwood. As soon as I heard his voice, I slammed the phone down and told Mr B that Clint had just called and that I had hung up on him.
Mr B: "Hmmm, I guess he was probably calling me..." (we have very different views politically)
Me: "Well, he sure as h*** wasn't calling me!"
Mr B: "...or maybe an empty chair."

I've gotten my knives in tip-top shape to the point where I'm sharpening every day to make up for any dulling that occurs when I use them. I am obsessed. Send help. And paper, because I'm running out from testing if the knives are sufficiently sharpened.

My husband is a compulsive knife sharpener. I don't mind, really, because I don't have to do it, but it is a little over the top.
Do you use a hand grinder or an electric?

Stones. Shapton ceramic, to be specific. No need to soak like whetstones.

Ah, he doesn't trust himself to get the angle right with stones. We have an electric sharpener - one of the ones recommended by Cook's Country/America's Test Kitchen (I forget which one exactly). I think it probably takes off a lot of the blade, but it makes him happy that they're so sharp.

-Mr. Spring is a knife sharpening fool, but he scares me when he handles sharp objects.
-It's so foggy out today! I can't even see across the street.
-Target today and will I be able to walk past Starbucks on this cold and foggy day and not get a warm drink? It's not looking hopeful....

Casey gets so screwed up with the time change....he has an internal clock and it does not get synchronized with the time change.
--------------------
I have a client I do not like. For valid reasons-I think he is very unethical and he is a grown man who whines when he does not get the answer he wants. He will then call people in my company higher up on the food chain to whine. He left me a voicemail after I left last night and asked me to call him this am. I did not. He has left another message to call him today. I have not. He then called his marketing rep. Her and I have talked and neither of us want to call him back. My plan is to call after 5 and leave a voicemail. Her plan is to email him after hours. It is so sad how much we both dislike this person.

Good luck Springy! I can't resist the salted caramel mocha. I'm anticipating whatever brulee they bring to us this year.

I worked an overnight last night. We traded locations on two sections. Nothing like building rivetier!
I'll be glad to get that extra hour of sleep.

I've already gotten an email showing the creme brulee and if they have it I'm sure I won't be able to resist. Wish you could go with me and we could enjoy it together!
