I just made a hair appointment at a new place. Eep. So nervous. And excited! Can't wait for tuesday! Hopefully I can talk her into straightening it for me. Ain't no way I'm paying that much for a hair cut, only to be sent home without it being styled, like usual! Why do stylists assume that just because I wear my hair curly and make it look pretty, I'm ok with them sending me home with wet, fuzzy hair? Heck no. Straighten it, please.

In other news... I'm trying to make a powerpoint presentation for Spanish class tomorrow, based on a paper I wrote. My paper is about 4.5 pages long (which is about 1.5 pages longer than what she requested). But she somehow wants us to get 25 slides out of that. What? Seriously? I'm thinking like 15, tops. I'm really going to have to bull-crap my way through this! Lots of pictures, and lots of "title" slides.

I have a friend/whatever that did this too. I almost died when i saw she had voted for Obama. We have known each other since kindergarten and we used to get in knock down, drag out, democrat vs. republican fights on the playground. Just beat the hell out of each other, and we couldn't even pack our own lunch let alone vote.

The easy answer? Thaw out the chicken. Clean and put it whole in the crock pot with the chicken broth, beans, maybe a teaspoon each of cumin and curry if you have it. Add maybe a half a teaspoon of Italian seasoning, or Basil/oregano. If you have any green beans or carrots toss them in. Even if you only have canned. Cook it on low for about 5 or 6 hours. Halfway through add a 1/4 cup of rice.


The quinoa you can make seperately and add it to many different things. Or add things to it. Use it as a replacement for rice.
