I went off the pill last weekend and am having a non-chemically affected period for the first time in years.

I feel insane. My thoughts are disorganized, one of my legs feels weird, and I'm exhausted. This is my own hormones reasserting themselves, right? RIGHT??
(crazy weeping mo0d-swinging emoticon here)

I was on the pill for 10 years and when I went off my first couple of periods were INSANE. I was miserable. But they did level out and get better after a few months.

Curlylaura, I really feel bad for you. Please try to get another job. You are too good to be taken advantage of in such a manner. Also, report the guy who is HIV positive and having unprotected sex. You could save someone's life. I have lost three friends to AIDS.

@ Nallia:

Okay, thank you.

It's probably good that this information came via internet so I didn't either weep onto your shoulder or grab your collar and say, "You promise? Do you?"

I may have to go hide in bed.

this is random and has nothing to do with posts above...but...don't you ever wish you could do/say this to someone who is bugging you?

I love it when new employees of surrounding news stations call to see if anything is going on in our county. They are initiated with, "We have a horrible boat wreck at the airport."

It always takes them a few moments to get it. Then we have a laugh.

It's probably all the henna.

This guy in one of my meetup groups sent me a message inviting me to view some of his pictures. The link he sent me took me to Zoosk. I've only seen him a few times and thought he was okay, but I never thought he was dating material and never imagined he had those feelings for me. I might be seeing him at an event next weekend. Bleh.

It's probably all the henna.
Not the henna or the loss of length. My hair has been growing in barely wavy at the roots for the last 1.5 due to some medications I am taking. It's a possible side-affect. I have pieces of hair that are virgin and they have no curl at all. My hair used to grow in curly from the roots.

One of my co workers got disinvited by her mother from Thanksgiving dinner because she voted for Obama. Dang.

It's that serious? Might be a blessing for her in the long run. I can't imagine awkward family gatherings based on your political persuasion.

I spoke to my mother yesterday and the election came up. I told her that I had to wait in a very long line to be able to vote and she'd told me she was in and out within 20 minutes. We live about 1500 miles away from each other and I live in a huge city while she lives in a rural area. Anyway, she mentioned that my sister didn't vote. While I feel that my sister should've been slapped upside the head for not voting and while we do have our issues between us, I'm not about to disown her over it.

That is ridiculous. How is this worth damaging family relationships, maybe irrevocably?

Beats me. The Mom said stuff about her children turning in to socialists, etc. she disinvited the brother of my co-worker, too. All on a Facebook wall. Nuts.
