The ZA is a fantastic reason to go shopping.

I am too tired to dig for a thread. I had the most insane dreams last night. People were hiding a powerful new drug in spiders webs or nests. A truck full of show cats wrecked and cats wearing harnesses were running all over the highway. *brain says what?* Some crazy killer was murdering stripper and my childhood best friend was stripping so I was trying to save her soul her something. PS- she can not even remotely dance. I had several others that were very strange but this will do for now.

So I go into the veg walk-in yesterday and then:

Attachment 27007

Giant ****ing cake. It was quite the sight. We had a bunch of marines for some event and they brought this cake. And it was shockingly really good ****ing cake, too. Layer of vanilla, layer of chocolate. Of course I scraped off all the frosting because 99% of frosting is just gross and unnecessary as you all know.

It's the Marine Corps birthday.

Frosting is the best part of the cake.

I would skip the cake and lick frosting off of a Marine!

I know, but I think I've participated in every one since I joined in 08.

Hopefully, next year I'll be able to do it.

I love frosting in cakes, unless it's from a store/supermarket type place because it just taste like pure sugar. Nasty!

Sigh, the thing about cold sores is that even when you're lucky enough to have a small one that is barely visible, it feels huge and itches like a mother****er, so you'd swear that everyone can see this awful thing.

THIS. <~~that is me and we haven't even gotten our names yet. I may or may not have bought something yesterday just in case my curly might like it and if she doesn't it's something I can keep. I like to prepare in advance!

My last class was yesterday. Passed the final, passed the class - and now I actually have down time that I don't have to use for studying!

Went to see a Broadway play last night. Went to The Chocolate show this morning. Going to the Tenement museum in a few minutes. Then I have bowling league tomorrow. A little busier than I normally would be during a weekend but it couldn't be helped as I was stranded at home last weekend because of Sandy and public transportation wasn't fully operational. I'll sleep during the week, I guess.

The colloquium thread is making me want to dig my family tree out again. It's interesting the way it branches out from the origination of surnames, but I am a geek that enjoys genealogy.

I also enjoy research and used to love writing papers. I took basic grammar classes, every two years, for fun. After several years of working on a job where we can not use punctuation at all, on different programs, I am so rusty.
