my child cannot read. and is in the 5th grade. I brought her some books I got for free at work, they're for 3-5th grade level, but she cannot read. She didn't know the word light. Or instructions, and I know the word instructions is all over her school work.

It makes my heart break because HOW DO THEY LET CHILDREN GET THIS FAR AND THEY CAN'T READ????

When I was in 5th grade I was reading my homie Harry Potter. And It just kills me that she can barely read simple words. I mean instructions is a big one, but light. She asked me what errands were also, because her name was on the board for running errands.

They shouldn't.

Does she have an IEP?

Awwww. That is so sad, and no it shouldn't happen. It used to happen quite often, when I was in elementary school and it makes me sad to hear some are still slipping through the cracks.

But I am glad you caught it.

As I've been told many times before, we don't believe you without pictures
Not the most decorative picture - I just put it together today so I used any quilt and pillows I had in other places.

Now I have to figure out where I want it in the room, especially since the Christmas tree is gonna be in here soon.

So the sky is this crazy pink, so we get up to look and there was this huge full rainbow! It was beautiful!

We ran outside to look and then my neighbor stops me and starts gossiping. Hello, my kids and I trying to have this rainbow moment here! She ruined it! Grr.

It was pretty though.

Wow. I really do not feel well and it came on very suddenly.

Heavy head, very weak, nausea, my whole body felt almost stiff and an upset stomach. Very odd. It didn't last long but I still feel.... wrong and a little fuzzy and weak.

I don't like this. It's freaking me out.

The Texas Secede FB page is cracking me up. I wish they'd leave and take the Teabaggers with them.

She can come here or go to Austin! They're petitioning to secede from TX if TX secedes.

Talk about sore losers.

Sigh. Finally went to pick up my car from inspection place... And the battery was DEAD! Had to stand out in the cold getting it jump-started. Now I'm wasting my gas letting it charge!
