Terrified at what the very near future holds.

I am 42 and I've NEVER been unable to support myself. How did everything get so sh*tty?

OMFG We just watched a trenchcoat clad dude clean almost his entire car with a windshield scrubber at the gas station. His gas was already done when he started!

Today, I took a phone call from a woman who asked if we carried freeze dried foods because Fox News Radio said to stock up for the upcoming Civil War. :/

How completely ridiculous, and not surprising considering her source.

I told her that we carried freeze dried fruits, and shelf stable meals, though some need heat and/or water. Not much else I could say, lol.

I made these!! I'm so proud i put too much cumin on accident though...womp. They taste okay. LOL.

I ate pizza for dinner...

but I made these for tomorrow and sunday! Yay for meal prepping!
I'm now making quinoa and collards for tomorrow also.

Now I'm poor because I had to buy all these spices and what not.

My good friend just spent $700 to help save a stray kitten. I still can't get over that amount. But she is such a good soul.

Surprisingly, yes. It made a good break room story. She had me on the phone for 15 minutes going on about stocking up for the impending doom. My mouth was too agape to laugh.

If you walk into my house, talk about all the illness going around your place of work, gag on your sinus drainage while continuously wiping your nose and mouth with your hands... at least wash them before you touch everything I own and stick your hands in my bags of food. Please, and thank you. Wtf? You're not 4.

I wish there were better public education programs for correct ways to place phone calls to businesses. No working person needs to hear how you pay their salary 20 times a day or have to spend 15 min on the phone listening to your delusional dried food rants

You reminded me of a website I have heard a few different people (aka local conspiracy theorists) mention. I can't remember the name of it but it focuses on the impending doom and supposedly shows records of FEMA purchases. Unreal number of plastic coffins, medieval type execution equipment, orders to set up several camps, and records of security/service hires to man the camps.

Weirdness.

*and in the next breath I might hear, "I know who killed JFK and they used blah blah gun" that was not manufactured until 20 years after his death so...

In spite of the horrible state of my skin, this is the first time in a week or so I haven't felt like crawling into a hole in the ground rather than show my face, all due to finally getting time to style my hair (I had to put it under the bandanna for work while still quite wet, so it doesn't look fantastic, but at least it's clean and soft).

I find it funny how conservative members here go on about how they feel hesitant to post their opinions on this liberal-dominated board, yet they go poking at the proverbial wasps' nest the moment they think they've got even a trace of hope of "liberal" screw-up.
