I was so deathly afraid of handing in a research paper (with *my* name and *my* ID number on it) of which I was not proud. Now I feel like the paper is FINALLY coming together. I just have to work like hell to finish it.

If someone doesn't put this in their siggy then I will.

Looking at pictures of Twinkies is making me want to make some. I hate the things, but tender yellow cake filled with seven-minute icing (or Chantilly/creme diplomat)? Oh yeah!

Yeah, no heat at all would suck, even for me. I'd probably cave and get an electric blanket.

I'm pretty sure the aroma of my CJ Coffee-Coco Curl Creme enters the room before I do.

RCC, when it comes to the hello racists, which I could only stand to look at a few of, I am for any and all threats being checked and action taken, but at the same time I worry about young children making incredibly ignorant comments (they have over heard from parents I am sure) being hurt by someone once it "really" gets out there. I have mixed emotions on that. No, they should not say horrible racist things about the president or anyone else, but if serious injury or worse happens as result of shaming... That is not any better.

I don't want to see anyone hurt, at all. I try to help avoid that.

Me too. My heats at about 64, 65 at night. Every house and thermostat is different, but I can't sleep when its too warm. Your body heat rises when you sleep, plus blankets and stuff.

Then again, I didn't turn the heat on til last week.

OBB, I'm hot blooded. I make my own heat.

Fifi, your points are quite valid, and I'm not as comfortable with exposed minors. The man I mentioned is an adult, though, so I have no regrets about that one.

But, I do think the 'young people aren't racist' argument isn't all that.

Minors are definitely a different game, and I absolutely agree about the argument. I have known children who were horribly racist, and remained that way. Others that were, unfortunately, repeating things they heard, and ones with racist parents who felt it was wrong and refused to repeat or follow in their footsteps.

I was going to suggest a heated throw, too. I would put it between the sheet and your top blanket so it gets really warm as opposed to laying it right on top of your blanket. We've got a heated mattress pad and crawling into a warm bed when the room is cold is the best ever. When we lived in CT I couldn't have gotten to sleep without it because that house was so cold. Last night I was saying how nice it was to be in a home that is actually warm versus a home we paid $600 a month to heat in the winter but was like being in an ice box, painfully cold.

Luckily, my house stays a reasonable temperature. I leave my heat on 70 at night, but it rarely cuts on. I can not stand to freeze or burn up when I sleep. I want to be just right.

Everyone who came into work today smelled like wet dog. And no one was wearing wet wool. They all needed a good wash.

I always agree with you a million% on this (and also about icing. and stuff being too sweet. and cold temps. I would die if my house was 64).
Hey I like cupcakes. I like the look of red cupcakes. But they are just red colored white cupcakes. Usually just fake vanilla flavoring and sometimes a tiny touch of cocoa.
I don't know what munchkins are (other than the ones on the Wizard of Oz and I don't think it's very nice of people to eat them) but I will agree with you on that too!

And now I want a really good deep dark chocolate cupcake. With no icing.

Random post alert...I just wanted to share what I saw this morning, while walking the dogs.... Sometimes I forget how truly beautiful winter is.

-It's going to be hard today to get a caramel brulee latte knowing that A) I could get a second one free if I waited until 2 and B) If I had a friend to share said free one with, but I will get over the sadness of lost savings and drink one anyway while we are out because I am brave like that.

-Yay for it being chilly enough for a sweater!

-Please let the local honey place be open, I have GOT to have more of the creamed lemon honey #addictedtothegoodness
