That's Richard Cheese. He does a lot of covers like that. I recommend Hey Ya, Shake Ya Ass, Material Girl, Insane in the Brain, and Baby Got Back.

I'm not sure who did it, but there's an oddly good (and funny) country version of Gin & Juice floating around.

On the flipside, the moment it even hits 68 degrees, there's the ****ing ridiculous air conditioning all over the place.

what are boiled peanuts? I've never heard of that.
Since peanuts are a legume, some people treat them like beans. They can be found in quite a few different cultures, but the most well-known examples are in Chinese cuisine, where they get cooked like a red braise without soy (because it muddies the color), or simpler with just star anise and salt (or sometimes no salt and served with soy at the end), and southern cuisine, where they're cooked in a simple brine.

I can hear the roommate's girlfriend again. Le sigh.

I just googled. That was so much worse than I assumed. How do you get a horse to do that to a person?

I kind of hate you right now.

hahahahaha.

I couldn't figure out how he got the horse to do that either. that's all I wondered...and that guy who filmed it, got in trouble multiple times after that for more sex with animals! DA hell?!!

At least the horses were okay...

My friend from up north didn't know what boiled peanuts were, she saw them and thought they were disgusting...then one day she tried them and she's been obsessed ever since.

I think I have had boiled peanuts then, or cooked in some way, in a Chinese dish, several years ago. Thanks for the explanations, murrcat!

that was saria!

lol I have no idea what she's talking about, I'm talking about you sit on the couch with a bowl of boiled peanuts on your stomach and you open 'em and eat 'em

I didn't know people put them in dishes.

Boiled peanuts with soy sauce sounds nice. I like mine spicy hot.

KurlyKae, there are peanuts found in many Chinese dishes, but they're just added raw peanuts, not boiled. Boiled peanuts are sold as a street snack, or if you go to a Chinese restaurant you get them as a snack before the meal.

Boiled peanuts can be found in stews (like in some South American or African dishes), but what I posted about are eaten as is.

I'm sure they appreciate that, Spring! I'm not saying regular Starbucks don't experience rude and annoying people... But there's something about those Target Starbucks that really seems to attract obnoxious people. I'm just glad I don't work in a Wal Mart Starbucks.

Starbucks in Walmart, that sounds familiar. Maybe I've seen that somewhere.

Huge difference between Chinese Boiled Peanuts and Southern Boiled Peanuts. I'd like to try the Chinese.

It's not really a big difference. Flavoring is different, but they're both peanuts cooked in a brine until tender. Same texture. Most Chinese boiled peanuts actually don't include soy in the brine. That recipe is from Chichi on seriouseats and she mentions that she added it because of flavor, which I agree, since soy makes for ultra-umami deliciousness. Simpler and more common is just salt with star anise.
I tend to break down food to simple terms where you can see how similar one thing is to another, because all food is related. What's made in one country or continent is made in another, just with a variation here and there.

Bestiality has been around forever and will probably always be around. You can find it everywhere on the interwebs. Gross but there it is.

They're bringing back Arrested Development after being off the air for 6+ years.
I see no reason why they can't bring Firefly back. Do it!!

Geez. My cactus has made 9 need seed pods this week. I harvested over 20 off of her last month. I thought she was done for the year. I guess she really likes her new window.

And I think it's safe to say Sasha has killed one of my new succulents. She broke off most of the leaves already. And now the main stem is nearly severed in half. I tried cultivating from the leaves that she broke off, but they don't seem to be taking at all.

I just heard my roommate ask his lady friend if she likes Chinese food. She said no. I'm sorry, but my face when people say that or how "unhealthy" and "greasy" Chinese food is.

Attachment 27275

Because it's ALWAYS said by people whose idea of Chinese food is crappy takeout made for what was thought would please American palates in the various typical "Chinese" restaurants that are spread throughout the country. And then when your idea of Chinese is actual Chinese food, and you suggest it, it's turned down because people seem to think you want to take them for gloppy General Tso's and greasy pupu platters.

Some shock jocks on a popular radio station around here had some girl call in about how she had an 'involved' relationship with her golden retriever. She gave about as much detail she could on the radio. While it wasn't terribly graphic, it was the most disturbing thing I had ever heard.

No lie, this was probably at least 13 years ago, and that story haunts me to this day.
