Hey, me too! What if I did and we're supposed to be roomies? Now that pisses me off. We could have been at Hogsmeade and enjoying a glass of butterbeer infront of a flaming fire.

I died, thrice. I had forgotten this PSA.

Okay, I have played on line long enough this morning. It's time to get busy. I have a huge list of things to do before tomorrow.

Right!?! All they had to do was add some music and an additional catchy line & laugh at the end. It is 100% the original PSA otherwise.

Hysterical edit.

Your headcanons are wonderful.
It's funny that I was just reading on one of my favorite blogs about how Suzanne Collins doesn't know anything about food because you can't have a milk-producing goat and be starving.

Quote:
Still kinda side eye the fact that JLaw totally missed the point about the criticism that was going around when she was cast as Katniss (not her inane comments about her coloring, those are whole OTHER ball game) but her commentary on weight, and how she went on to say that to Hollywood standards she was obese but omg she wasn’t going to surrender to those pressures or starve herself for a role!

In every other case on this Earth I would agree with her, but not this time tbh? Most people weren’t complaining about her being too healthy looking bc of standards of size and society (which are still applicable, this is true) - people were complaining that her body was wrong for the role, and it kinda was… It’s called the Hunger Games. The series revolves around the fact that the vast majority of the people in this world are underfed and starving, and how she entered her name multiple times to get extra food for her family. Like, JLaw said: “I’m never going to starve myself for a part… I was trying to get my body to look fit and strong — not thin and underfed” which again is a great sentiment but Katniss is actually canonically SUPPOSED to be thin and underfed that is kind of the entire point. And yes Katniss hunts but she hunts squirrels that she has to share, and she is described in the books as looking underfed.

To defend her though the movies just totally ignored the food politics, and barely anyone in those movies looked like they were underfed anyways (hey there totally not starving Gale and Peeta, though for Peeta that makes more sense), and SC doesn’t understand anything about food so I guess nevermind then (seriously, when you have a milk producing goat, you are officially not starving anymore, and the pig thing and the fruits in the woods thing… I mean gurl research plz).

I'm not sure what they're like in their natural habitat, but all of the Virginia drivers on the turnpike this morning were PAINFUL to share the road with. Omg. I wanted to scream.
I hadn't considered that there would be so many people traveling today for some reason... Ugh.

Grrrrrrr, and then.......yaaaaaaaay!

Expanding that tongue-tied but kindly guy's interview was tough. I hate padding a story, but geez!

Now I know more about smelting in Newfoundland than I ever did before. Unfortunately, nobody wants to hear about it (dogs, I'm looking at you).

I really am out now, and I will stay out for awhile, as long as you quit posting funny/interesting stuff. K? Gah.

Meant to be going out later to meet large group for dinner.

It's an hour and half journey for me and it's blowing a storm outside and is all wet and yucky.

I just want to stay in and work.

Am I terrible if I make up some excuse not to go?

Hmm, to Porter for curry rice, grilled mackerel donburi, and other Japanese, or to Super 88 for wontons in chili oil, chicken and green bean dumplings, and other Sichuan and northern Chinese? It might be Porter just based on how close it is.
