The problem, of course, is the culture. The American atmosphere is becoming dangerously toxic. 60 years ago, this race wouldn’t have been a problem. Romney and Ryan would have won without question. Back then, they were the American ideal- a highly successful businessman who was patriotic and an up-and-coming whiz-kid congressman with a history of accurate, detailed plans based on math. Both men hold their own beliefs very strongly to heart.

In the 50’s these men would be national heroes. Now? They’re described as “cartoony villains”. Why?

Because they’re successful.

Because they’re rich.

Because they have their values.

Because they’re white.

What used to be an ideal has become hated. It was people like Romney and Ryan who made this nation great. Hardworking men committed to what they believed in. Men who believed in free enterprise and individual responsibility.

Now? We’ve become a dull and lazy nation. Criticism of the military has become socially acceptable. We’re expected to love our enemies and apologize for killing them. The rich are no longer people we want to be, but someone who must suffer. Success is a sin. Entitlements are now valid. We’ve embraced false notions of egalitarianism as the new state religion.

That last one is particularly crucial to the worldwide suicide of the west. I talked to my mother about scheduling an appointment with a campus counselor to talk about my anxiety attack following the election. She was in favor of it, but I rejected it. I told her that if I went in there and said that as a white male I was worried about my future, they’d try to teach me to be “tolerant” and “accepting” and “respectful” and all that other nonsense. And I thought about it later, and I realized, if a black woman went in if Romney won, she’d be directed to support groups and ways to help her. It’s a bias. I can’t get help because the people who are helping me are in league with my persecutors. My university has a diversity center. A DIVERSITY AND EQUALITY CENTER. I’d drop out in protest, but I need this degree to move on with my life.

It’s not Obama. It’s the moronic values that got him elected. So brace yourself, white men of America. Brace yourself for an era of persecution and prejudice.

My boyfriend talks about this all the time. He is a white, straight, christian, male. Sadly in this day and age they are more discriminated against than any other type of person. It’s too bad that what we are striving for is really just forming a different prejudice.
