I refer to what I do as "Bobby Flaying it." Every time he has to open a can of coconut milk on tv he seems to end up hacking it open with a knife. That's kind of what I do on butternut squash. I make sure to take a knife I'm not attached to, get it partially into the squash, and essentially slam it into the cutting board. It works....
Although I did act civilized with my most recent squash.
Also, this SF thing? I'm ashamed.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

Saria. If you go to SF, please notify me. I'd love to make it a two-fer and go to see my sister and family and have a curly meet up and see the yummier side of SF.
I'm sure even some of the more culinarily unrefined *cough*spring1*cough* would be in on it.
Just a thought I thought I would plant now and see if anything grew from it.

My mom tells me that whoever cut up my pecan pie murdered it. I wish we had thought to cut it up beforehand! Also, pecan pie is among the easiest pies to cut, how was it butchered?! She brought back a couple of slices she bought for us to try.
It was good, but the truth is I just don't have much love for pecan pie, especially when I forget to put the bourbon in!
My cinnamon swirl pound cake was the mother****ing business. She only brought back one slice, because her friend didn't buy any of what I made then wanted some later. My mom was annoyed, but felt bad and gave her one of the slices she bought. Imma have to make another one. That thing was perfection.
Look at what a handsome fellow he is.

He's picture-perfect, textbook pound cake. No, don't be modest, you are.
Also, people who took in cupcakes were out of luck because nobody wanted over-frosted sugar bombs with their coffee. Apparently mine was the only non-circular cake, which I find interesting.

I'd LOVE to meet up with you, Minxy.
I'm not so sure about that spring1onu though. She had bad taste. And a giant head.

I audibly gasped at the thought of being excluded.
Y'all are worse than the Grinch!
(although I'd have to figure out how to get over my fear of cities and that whole driving and finding someone to bribe for a parking spot thing too)
But I still gasped, despite all that.
My big head, it cries.

But she can clear the path with her big head!
I'm just kidding Spring1. My head is probably bigger. Those one size fits all hats are jokes. My fathead laughs at them.

Is the world ending sooner than we thought? My Facebook won't open so this MUST be a sign.

So yesterday my mother told me how she was going to roast these pork tenderloins, and I said she would need to roast them at at least 450 degrees to get color on them by the time they would cook. And that it's better to sear them then just pop in the oven.
She put them in a pan, all wet from the fridge, covered the pan, then uncovered to dry up and finish giving them color. They're ****ing already cooked at that point, basically, then she puts them in the oven at 425. She tells me and I realize what she's done as I wasn't paying attention at all. They were covered with foil on top of it all. People, you can't even begin to understand my pain.
I tell her they're already cooked and she says she'll keep cooking them and that she guesses they'll just eat them overcooked because she thinks I am telling her they're cooked by restaurant standards, which she assumes to be too raw for her, as opposed to "no, they're cooked and you'll turn them to tough, dried out jerky". I even told her she's free to cut one in half so she can see they're fully cooked, but she was like "it's fine, I'm not turning on the oven for nothing".
I can't.

This is a joke. No real crime was committed beyond not washing your own glass.
My house was broken into today. They didn't take anything; just trashed the place, scattered laundry and smeared food all over my dishes. I'd clean up, but, you know; evidence.

I've had five days off from work. In a row...I can't tell you the last time that happend. I haven't done a damn thing either. Well, actually I went to the dentist, visited my Mom and decided to take a yoga class. Just decided...I didn't sign up or anything yet. Mainly I sat around in my PJ's did some minimal exercise and cooking and....that's it.
You know what? It was glorious.

I had a mild heart attack at the first line and by the end I realized you just need to change the locks and not give your family any keys. (at least I hope you are joking about the breaking in part)
