Lol! Omg, I'm just saying, when my family visited my aunt and uncle in San Francisco when I was younger (probably 11 or 12), we went INTO the city to eat at Cheesecake Factory.

It was on top of a Macy's, y'all! Who doesn't want to go there?!

That's awesome! I hope I can dig this up again when I restart English classes.
I ain't thirsty. There's plenty of fish in the sea, but I don't want all of them, can I have some standards? Or do we just have to settle, for someone's who meh and will do.

i dont think i ever met anyone that visited SF and just nibbled. and Cheesecake Factory? their food is leftovers from the local Asian highschools who dont have time to eat because of pressure from their parents to mad study.

OMG, I want in on a SF trip! That's only something like 5 or 600 miles away from me! Plus the price to fly there in a non-holiday month would be only like $20-40 more than spending a whole day from early morning to evening taking a bus, a train and another bus, so I'd have an excuse to get there the fast way. I found this out when I graduated high school and my friends and I decided to go there to celebrate. (This fact actually annoyed me then, lol, because the rest of us wanted a road or train trip to prolong the journey and make everything an adventure. Only the one with no sense otherwise wanted to fly.)

I think my family may have State Farm Insurance. Can I sing for them to find me money?
OMG, LOOK!!

...It's a siggie.

As for Lye, I can't even believe some people still make soft pretzels with this poison!
Some people? Like generations of German people? You just know that caustic pretzel is a frequent cause of death over there.

If you don't feel comfortable using lye (which honestly I don't think I would want to use something that's used in soap on food)
Like olive oil? Or coconut oil?

Seriously, take this mass hysteria over lye down a whole lot of notches. It's a fairly weak solution that has never caused me so much as mild discomfort when I've left my skin exposed. Never mind that people eat things like hard pretzels, grits, and tortillas which have all been treated with lye. It will not blow up your house and kill you dead.

And really, pretzels (and bagels) dipped in baking soda are good, but once you have lye-dipped, there's just no going back.
Random and not so random thoughts.

You are up to something. I know you are.

My co workers can go ahead a pitch a short lived fit while I spray down door handles and light switches with this hospital grade disinfectant. They will thank me for it later. Well, at least one will. You do not want this flu.

Speaking of, I have been keeping track of the numbers and we are already well on our way to having a special circumstance dispatching code for ambulances created for it. That is what they did in 2004, and part of the reason why they keep comparing the flu's. The symptoms sound more like the flu I had in 2000 or 2001 that was causing brain fluid to leak out of the nasal passages. That is the sickest I have ever been. I still remember every moment of that flu. It took months to fully get over it.

**I don't when I became a person that likes to sit around and look at graphs and read personal stories of symptoms. Wth? I guess it comes in handy, therefore I do.

Fifi, in answer to your knife question:

I need a nice sharp kitchen Knife.

Basically, if you only want one knife, get a German chef knife because it cake take a lot of abuse and is easier to sharpen.
My preference is for one German knife for abuse, one Western style gyuto for most knife work, and a petty or paring knife. And a bread knife. If you like cleavers, you can buy one for pretty cheap and have that be the beater knife instead of a German chef knife.

You think you have a lot of laundry. I found moth larvae and casings on my clothes when we moved recently. I had to wash EVERYTHING in that closet today, which was about 75% of my clothing, and happened to include all of my hand-washable stuff, woolens, dress shirts, dresses, dress pants, skirts, etc. In other words, the hard-to-wash stuff! :/

I also had to carefully examine everything for damage. The good news is there wasn't a ton of damage. The bad news is they got one of my nicest sweaters. I'm going to look into having it professionally repaired.

I am wiped out!

My mom called yesterday and said she had worn a coat to breakfast with friends that had been in a plastic bag for quite some time. Since it was dry cleaned. When she got home she noticed holes in the sleeve. She took it off to investigate and found huge moth holes in the back. She was so embarrassed and was going to check her closet today. :-/

And you're right, moths are a55holes! That's exactly what I was saying out loud today as I was laying flat to dry one sweater after another.

And I did find some rather significant damage on a sweater dress I got last winter and only wore like twice. It's a bit too trendy of a garment to repair.

*sigh*

So far mom has not found anything other than the coat, which might mean that it happened at her old house. Hopefully. She is washing just in case. Her eyes are not quite good enough to detect larva, etc.

My dad collected military uniforms. He would search for pieces needed, for years, to complete a specific uniform from WWI, II or Vietnam. Needless to say he was always bringing old wool into the house... Mmmhmm.

Anyone watch real housewives of Beverly hills?

Did anyone see yesterday's episode?

With the BIG secret about adrienne?

Well I didn't know she's suing bravo as well as brandi, over it.
THey didn't air the secret because of the lawsuit, they just cut the sound during those parts.

The secret is..she had a surrogate. OMFG lamest secret ever.

Who the eff cares?? Why would this be a big deal? Unless she's hiding it from her children. But it's still really stupid. Dumbest reality tv scandal ever.

Adrienne is getting the villain edit this season...LOL But that is a lame secret. Who cares?

(((Minxy))) Can't you make her move out? Is she actually on the lease, too? I mean, if you're the one paying the rent and she's not on it, can't your landlord kick her out or something? I don't know much about tenant law, but it seems that if you're the one paying the bills, she's the one who needs to go!

I might have to make some chicken soup today. I'm in a soup mood and that's the only one I have ingredients for.

I am suddenly in the mood for ginger. I must make ginger snaps or ginger bread men soon. I might decorate one for fun and someone else can eat it or decorate more if the want. Icing on cookies is un natural, imho.

What was the name of the cookie chain that used to be popular in malls? They had huge chocolate chip cookies in the display case with icing piped around the edges and the word COOKIE written in the center... Really? I wasn't sure, but now I know it's a cookie!!

Apparently I don't know how to relax and that's part of the reason I'm always in so much pain. Ugh. How do you retrain yourself to relax?

I got the cat carrier out, and Lily hopped right in it. Hilarious. Buddy is looking at her like she's nut.

But, this will be her first vet trip. She might hate the thing after that!
