A friend of mine asked me two days ago if I could help him get a few gifts for his wife and baby (not only is he super busy, he's also clueless, bless his heart).

So, I cobbled together a few gifts, some found on Etsy, and most sellers were wonderful to interact with.

Then, there came the b*tch.

I sent a message ahead of time to all sellers with this note:

"Hi! My friend has asked me at this late hour to help him find gifts for his wife and baby. Is there any chance [insert item] will be available for us by Christmas? I'm not asking for special treatment or for you to rush my order, just on a fact finding mission so I can help him. I know you are super busy this time of year, and I want to do by best to support the artisans of Esty. Thanks for making our world a more beautiful place!"

This dolt replied back: "Not only is there no way I could have it for you by Christmas, but I would never rush an order for someone when I have orders to fulfill from last week. I really wish people wouldn't ask me for special treatment. Do you want a refund?"

Yikes!!!! Lady! You are rude and unprofessional!

Maybe you should reconsider your line of business? Or temporarily close your Etsy shop so the asses who are interested in your products wouldn't dare bother you to find out if they can purchase them?

Aaaand, the best part is, I didn't even pay for the item! What refund????

I am exhausted. haven't sleep. I still have 2 dozen open orders (for those that need them after Christmas), but I didn't let anyone down. Now, the post office, well i'm keeping my fingers crossed that they deliver on time
FYI-

For anyone who's thinking of buying from Etsy...I had a bad experience with a vendor, XXXXXXXXX. She had overall positive feedback. So I bought some macarons. But they arrived completely broken and partially pulverized, as there was no padding or bubble wrap whatsoever. It wasn't mentioned anywhere on her Etsy page that the filling was in a separate ziplock baggie for buyers to pipe in themselves. They were for a Christmas gift, but there was NO WAY I could give them to someone.

She was good about giving me a refund though. I asked her if I should return them or toss. She said to toss them. My husband, who hates to throw away any food, tasted one and afterward said, "Go ahead and throw them away." I love Etsy and have had some great experiences with it but maybe I'll stick to buying earrings and mineral makeup there instead.

I know how hard it is to run a business on Etsy. I've haven't had a full nights sleep in weeks. I've sold hundreds of books (wow) and of the 1/2 of a percent that give me bad or neutral feedback, those hunt me despite all the good. My last bad feedback came when the post office ran over a package and I didn't respond quick enough as I was in the hospital with my mom (actually I did respond, I remember, but I quess it didn't go through)

I hope you will consider doing a kiss and make-up with her. She's new and just getting started. She learned her lesson and isn't selling that item anymore.

All these new shows in 2013, ill never leave my bed now.
- I love mini saltines.

-My mom, who has not even an extra dime to her name, sent us some Southern Christmas goodies that I had no idea she was sending. She gave me two turquoise ceramic bowls of hers that I had admired last time we were there (I'm a bowl FREAK, I love bowls!), 2 lbs of GA pecans (yay!), 2 Southern Living magazines, and 2 GRIT magazines. I'm feeling so grateful she did that for us. She always sounds so sad when I talk to her and I wish I knew what I could do to make her happier.

-Target pharmacy, you are not in my good graces this afternoon. Now I have to make a trip back because you left out one of my RX's. I should have known something was up when not only did the young lady have to look FOUR times for my bags, but they didn't even fill one I called in 3 days ago and I had to come back in 15 to get it. No, I did not plan on going back to Target any time this close to Christmas.

- So thankful to come home and Calvin hasn't left me any hate gifts on the floor. SO thankful.

-What the hell, $50 for nasal spray!!!! Ugh. Insurance, what are you for? There must be gold in that damn bottle.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

AND... there was a generous gift card for the liquor store! he obviously knows me well!

Spring, that is so sweet. Nothing like flipping through a Southern Living while snacking on pecans that are being held by a pretty bowl. Seriously.

why does Ke$ha have to apologize for her lyrics for the song "Die Young?" i understand the need to suspend the song especially in the area for the time being but an apology?

** Okay, I just looked at the release date, read over the lyrics, read some comments, and about her controversial tweets (oh for the love of...). I still care not. I understand suspending playing it for a bit but... I could list countless songs, throughout the years, that have similar lyrics or sentiments. Some said they took it as a FU to 12/21/12. Apparently that is not the meaning, but what was taken away by many. Like Prince's 1999. People would probably have a heart attack over the last 2 lines spoken if it were released today.

Silliness.

Oh, I love that song. This one has been stuck in my head all day. The video does have repetitive car wreck scenes, on a beach, but it is also kind of wondermus, imo.
