It's 2am Christmas morning here, I'm at work with a sore throat and a stomach ache that stopped me eating all the food I prepared for tea last night. It's deathly quiet (only 11 patients, yay) and I'm tired and should be home in bed. Poo.

But on a less miserable note - Merry Christmas to you all.

{{{{w_s}}}} I'd give you ALL THE HUGS if I could. I hope that what you've started is the is just a sample of what the new year will bring. We all want to see you get out of that dark place.

CL, that is essentially my life.
I'm looking forward to 2013 because Korra.
So at least I won't start 2013 sobbing in a train like I did 2012.

Being at work really sucks on a day like this. However, we're supposed to be leaving early, which is rare in my line of work. We shall see.

We close early today. I wonder how many people won't check our hours and show up after we close.

Same here...except for the "work" and "went back to work" part. Coming up on four years of unemployment in 2013. Said goodbye to the last vestiges of my retirement fund and my career in early 2012.

My new "job" for now? Grad school for the financial aid. It doesn't pay well and the hours are brutal. The worst part being that I'll have to pay back my "salary" some day.

Oh, well, this time last year, we were all unemployed and staring down the barrel of homelessness, so things really have improved dramatically, even if still tenuous and below expectations.

I should apply for an UNCTAD internship, but how the hell would I afford to live in Switzerland?

I f'ing hate UPS. They knocked THREE times and got my dogs barking extra loud while I was trying to get my baby off to sleep for his nap. I really don't f'ing care if you have to come back with some unknown signature required package. I don't care if it's christmas eve or if it was heavy or whatever the hell your reason for knocking THREE times was. Even if I didn't hear you knock, don't you think I heard my f'ing dogs bark like crazy the.first.time?!?! JFC.

I'm the one who said just grab em' in the biscuits.

Limited sleep has resulted in all around silliness, sudden singing outburst, and the most pathetic plop attempts in the history of plopping.

Merry Christmas Starmie. I hope you feel better.
Thank you. Only a couple of hours and I'll be home, opening pressies then off to bed.

A neighbor just dropped off a cookie plate FULL of awesome goodies. Oh my word, I'm way more excited about this than I should be.

I got my Christmas wish!!

Something similar happened to Mr. Spring a few nights ago! He could NOT get warm and was shivering even though he was wrapped up in blankets and a hoodie. He started feeling achy and nauseated and had a temperature and he never gets sick. He kept me up all night mumbling incoherently and just felt absolutely awful and I was certain we'd be dealing with the flu and he wouldn't be going to work the next day. Then the weirdest thing happened, he woke up and felt better, just like that. He still had a little bit of a cough and slightly achy, but was totally fine to go to work and by days end was just fine.

I hope your husband turns out to have the same thing!
He was feeling a bit better this morning... not 100% but better then yesterday (since he went to work for his 2 hour shift).

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE EVERYBODY!
