Say It. I Dare You.

One of the most attractive things about you is the fact that you have no idea how handsome you really are. You sit over there with your jet black hair, olive skin, huge brown eyes, perfect smile, great taste in tv shows, music, and mediocre self esteem. Damn it! Your only flaw is a huge one, for me. You are far too religious. I can't deal with that level of holy and the closed mind that often accompanies it.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

Removing shellac nail polish? Why you so hard?
Fat does not make you fat. It's actually pretty important.
The flu---

My kid has got it.....

I have viral-induced asthma and had to go to the E.R. week before last, for a (rare) nebulizer treatment, having caught a bug from her. If I catch this, I am doomed....DOOMED

According to the doc today, she's in the waning stages and has probably turned a corner now (towards recovery). She first became ill Saturday night/Sunday.

I'm in the process of applying for financial/indigent patient assistance with the hospital system I work for; and will probably qualify for it, so I will be hopefully be able to get my inhalers...but WHY can't calamity just hold off for a second, until the boat is on an even keel??? WHY???

Household rule #1 for both of us from here on out: Flu shots every flu season. We usually get them every year. There was just so much going on these past few months. *Deep, weighty, heavy-laden, 75-second SIGH*

/rant, just had to get it off my chest (and may MY chest remain clear and infection-free!!!) It's just that I'm just so terrified I'll get it; catching a cold lays me SO low with the ensuing asthma, and I've never even had the flu...

I am a little bit over people asking me what I'm going to do when I'm finished with my programme. I don't know. My life *NEVER* goes according to plan. If it had I never would have lived in Japan, majored in History and Archaeology, or even be doing a degree in Economics. I would be sitting on a beach in Australia or covering some breaking news story for Reuters.

I have learnt to just let life take me where it will, as long as I'm happy and no one gets hurt I'm good.
I ain't thirsty. There's plenty of fish in the sea, but I don't want all of them, can I have some standards? Or do we just have to settle, for someone's who meh and will do.

Ok, I'm a little bummed. I mailed my curlies present via Fedex on the 19th. Here it is the 27th and it's still in transit. That's a long two day guaranted delivery!

That is horrible Speck.

I would call and raise some heck. Make them refund the charge to you. This is outrageous!

Speckla, that's awful. You could have delivered it yourself faster than that (and I don't even know where it's going!).

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

Okay, yes, it was probably not smart to eat M & M's when I already had a bit of a stomachache, but I did really well with limiting my fudge intake this year, and I'm entitled to some fun, damnit.

But now I have to have toast for dinner.

Woe.

The Symbicort usually helps but I've used my last sample. I have no medical insurance and I seriously hoard my inhalers. If I get the flu I am up Sh*t Creek *lays head down*

The specialist I used to go to used to put me on Prednisone when things got REALLY bad. But I only get an attack maybe once a year, if even that....I've only been on Prednisone for an attack twice since I was diagnosed at age 25 (I'm 42 now)

I have some trouble getting Prednisone when I go to other doctors. I mean I KNOW the risks and side effects of Prednisone.......but Robitussin, or codeine cough syrup, and my Proventil inhaler just doesn't cut it when that coughing is really, really bad. I don't even bother to get the codeine cough syrup Rx filled--when that cough sets in, it's like drinking water. No effect on the coughing at all, and then I just feel dizzy. Total waste of time and money getting it filled.

I have pulled abdominal muscles (omg--excruciating pain) from unchecked coughing and the recovery time was worse than the quick on/off course of Prednisone.

As soon as I can get this form done I can possibly get followup care as an indigent patient.....Lord, please give me one break and let that happen....

I am going to be calling them tomorrow. Pray for them.
This poppy seed cake is so good, you guys! So good!
And a few people respond with "poppy seed and what?" when I tell them it's poppy seed cake, but it doesn't need anything else. It's just deliciously buttery tender vanilla-scented buttermilk cake with tons of poppy seeds. WANT MOAR!!!
