Am I the only one who isn't bothered when people unfriend her on FB? I have plenty of FB friends who are basically acquaintances I no longer keep up with or have much in common now that we don't work together. I go through maintenance and unfriend these types every once in a whole. If they beat me to it, so be it. *kanyeshrug*
However, if any of you NC.com friends unfriend me, I will cut you. You're stuck with me forever, so deal with it, 'k?

#that wasn't really a question

Holy COW, I should have saved her response so I could post it here. She RIPPED ME APART for unfriending her, saying I probably thought she was too stupid to notice and I was just "crawling back" to her now because I was desperate and pathetic for people to come see my show. And then something like "I have REAL friends, sorry you can't say the same."

(I wish you could all see this girl. You'd know it wasn't me. I look back and she was one of my closest friends for years. I have no idea what I was thinking. She was crazy.)

OMG, I am so sorry

What medications are you on?

The Symbicort usually helps but I've used my last sample. I have no medical insurance and I seriously hoard my inhalers. If I get the flu I am up Sh*t Creek *lays head down*

The specialist I used to go to used to put me on Prednisone when things got REALLY bad. But I only get an attack maybe once a year, if even that....I've only been on Prednisone for an attack twice since I was diagnosed at age 25 (I'm 42 now)

I have some trouble getting Prednisone when I go to other doctors. I mean I KNOW the risks and side effects of Prednisone.......but Robitussin, or codeine cough syrup, and my Proventil inhaler just doesn't cut it when that coughing is really, really bad. I don't even bother to get the codeine cough syrup Rx filled--when that cough sets in, it's like drinking water. No effect on the coughing at all, and then I just feel dizzy. Total waste of time and money getting it filled.

I have pulled abdominal muscles (omg--excruciating pain) from unchecked coughing and the recovery time was worse than the quick on/off course of Prednisone.

As soon as I can get this form done I can possibly get followup care as an indigent patient.....Lord, please give me one break and let that happen....

Many many years ago I had a new doctor refuse to refill my meds bc she said having asthma wasnt in my chart. I was diagnosed 30 years ago. I've survived on using my pediatrician and random samples for years. Yes, its scary getting sick. I wonder at what age i will be on oxygen. I keep reminding myself I NEED
to get a pcp.

My bronchials were so constricted I had no control over the coughing spasms. My stomach muscles were in so much pain i had to crouch down and fold my body over whenever i coughed or sneezed.

I'm getting better. Not on inhalers as often and no more cough medicine. Thank God. I was getting mouth sores and so irritable from the steriod.

Hope you dont have issues. I know how bad it sucks.

The specialist I used to go to (back in ye olde days of medical insurance and great-paying job) once gave me a just-in-case Rx of Prednisone with specific instructions on how to taper it down. It wasn't even that many pills. But when I showed it to an urgent-care doc one time, she acted like it was a frikkin crack vial.

I'm not one to diagnose myself but I KNOW that I have cough-variant asthma. Dr. Specialist never mentioned it, but he was so, SO familiar with my exact asthma symptoms. If I ever get medical insurance again and/or better finances I plan to going right back to him for my care, and asking him if I should be tested for cough-variant asthma.

The few times I've had to resort to use of a steroid (not the steroid inhaler but oral steroid), it's always been a very short course. The one time I was on a longer course, I do remember being really irritable and I was eating everything that wasn't nailed down.

Thankfully, the Symbicort inhaler works well for me. I actually like it a lot better than the Advair. Too bad it's about used up. I hoarded my samples (which seemed really easy to get, way easier than Advair samples) and this is the very last one. I'm about to mail my forms off and with luck I can qualify for indigent patient assistance and go ahead and get more. *entire body crossed for luck*

I hate, hate HATE how jittery the albuterol makes me feel but I know I have to use it, so I try to deal.

If I can keep from getting a cold or a URI, stay away from cigarette smoke and cats, I rarely if ever have problems with my asthma...

Being uninsured really, really, really sucks.

Im thankful I didnt get a real tree this year. Im not annoyingly coughing non stop anymore, and somehow I didn't have too many sleepless nights.

They have these things called salt inhalers, I've seen them on Amazon. They're supposed to help asthma since the salt helps moisturize the lungs. Yup may want to look into that. I keep meaning to get one. Also I like to use good old fashioned Vicks. It helps.

It's not assault riffles (thank goodness) but... I do not even think twice about all the guns I see every time I go to work. I pay no attention until the b*tching starts. "Eff this effing belt and all isht on it! Gun in my effing rib, this vest is sent straight from effing hell! B**tard taser and GD evil tie!!"

That's when I laugh hysterically.

Though, let me add, the 2 times we have had a gunman in the building I was incredibly glad they were close by.

It's a messed up world. No doubt.

I do enjoy drug related calls. I can not help but smile when people call on recorded lines to report their drug dealer or family member because they didn't divvy up correctly, sold some bad stuff, or didn't share.

Please, kill more brain cells.

I came home from work last night only to find that my computer wouldn’t boot up. I kept getting this black screen with this weird message that said that the hard drive notification stated that some parameter was over its range or something. I called Dell, the manufacturer, and the tech said that they can’t do anything about the issue remotely as the hard drive was shot. Someone will have to come over my place and install a new one. I am beyond pissed because the computer is only two years old. The last one I had, which was a Gateway, only lasted about 18 months before it would start shutting down and rebooting all by itself. That computer was totally possessed. It lasted about another three or four years before it totally went on the fritz. And now this one goes on the fritz after only two years. I was considering replacing it with a laptop by next summer anyway, as the one I have now is a desktop and they are supposedly going the way of the dinosaur, but I may want to replace it as soon as this weekend if the people from Dell don’t call me to tell me when they want to stop by to replace my hard drive. They have less than 3 hours to contact me. If I don't hear from them, laptop here I come.

Then you just got to install your software and drivers which is the time consuming part.

And for future reference, a computer that reboots on it's own is most likely a power supply or overheating from a bad or clogged fan.
