Why did I think w_s lived in NM?

You are in So. Cal?

Why am I delighted to find out and disappointed that I didn't know this sooner?

I want some good food. I have $0.23 to my name until payday on Wednesday.

Not good.

@Saria: All the more reason for me to start jogging come Jan. Need to be fit!

@Spring: I too thought that was funny

are you both in SoCal? I had no idea. Why do I assume that all the curlies live on the east coast, in the Midwest, or Canada? Is that weird? (why do we say ON the coasts, but IN the other places, anyway?)

I hope you have some cereal/pasta/rice and beans in the house! $.23 does not go as far as "it used to" you know! (I'm being silly, it's late, and a glass and a half of wine goes farther than it used to, for me, apparently.)

I did yell at New Mexico awhile ago for making the tarantula hawk their state bug (why even have a state bug nobody wants to go where the bugs are), so that might be where that came from. Saria or someone else had posted about the insect and I was like NOOO I THINK I BLOCKED THAT OUT and then I read about it and saw that NM did that the same year I was born and was like oh HELL no, I am not affiliated with that thing.

But anyway, yeah, I'm in So. Cal. I keep forgetting that you're actually over on my side of the country, Minxy! For some reason, my brain wants to place you in New York. (I do the "everybody's elsewhere" thing, too, KurlyKae. I re-remember that spring's in this state now every time she posts about it!) Do you live in the LA area, or is that wrong, too? I'm down in San Diego County.

Also, I hope you're only lacking good food and not all food. You are not allowed to waste away on us, missy!

Had the strangest dream...was in Florida with 2 other women. We shared a HUGE hotel room with a conference table in the center and lots of leather benches. There were teeny baby alligators in the water, unbeknownst to me until I drank some! I had alligators on my tongue and stuck to my butt?? I squeezed one out like a big zit and it landed on the floor. Then the staff kept trying to get me to sign some papers but I kept getting distracted and never finished them. I was naked too... I can't believe I remember all of this...

Moral of the story: Do not watch Mystery ER (where a patient had a roundworm hanging from her butt) and cyst extraction videos on YT, and drink bourbon before going to bed. Bad combo.

ETA: Register your vehicle earlier next year, TNB! So hubs won't have to keep bugging you to do it. Not that I plan to still be with him then...

The world doesn't end because I don't go to church. You don't need to get vindictive or pedantic about it. If I wanted to go I would go. Last week I was all ready to go and you say you're too tired, fine. This week I wake up (but I'm still in bed), and I hear you going off about my not going to church?! I'm going to be real, you have to force me to go because I don't want to, but at least ask me before you start going ape****.

I know I don't think the way most people do and that's going to cause some problems, but I'm okay with problems. I get worked up over the big things. like people ****ing with my emotions; which door you come through is irrelevant and should not even be a topic much less an argument. No wonder I wanted to get away from the hell before. Thanks for the reminder.

Yup, over it. I think it's time for me to pack my bag and go back to KGN. My only concern is that I may be allergic to something in my flat

I hope I never become the type of parent that my mother is.

The jellyfish, though. They do make me reconsider, sometimes.
The beaches affected by jellyfish, the Box anyway, are closed during jellyfish season.

I'd be more concerned with the crocodiles that swim in the jellyfish affected water
You'll have to come to South Australia (it's the boring state that you never hear about) we have neither nasty jellyfish or crocodiles, it's just the sharks you have to be wary of! We don't have much in the way of nasty creepy-crawlies either.

Myself and my sinuses totally sympathise, we are not happy at all just now. It's miserable.

Are you in Adelaide Starmie? Do you get to see the whales during their migration? What's the weather like there?

Sorry, 20 questions!

I can't help but laugh and shake my head that I know the drain screen will be clogged whenever I go take a shower and I find the water coming out of the faucet rather than the shower head. Whoever does it obviously doesn't want to actually unclog the drain screen, even though it's their clog, so they open the faucet in the hopes of flushing out the screen through sheer pressure. I don't get it. I know it's not the nicest task, but just take a minute to clean the screen. They kind of work by stopping things from getting in the drain, which you then have to actually pull out and discard!
Also, this person uses a seriously gunky product. The clogged screen is always due to this slimy product more so than the small amount of hair found with it.

Major saga here. I bought a new internal hard drive Friday night since my computer crashed the night before that. Wasn't able to unscrew the old hard drive to insert the new one in. Took the computer to the store yesterday to see if they could save it. Went to see "Les Miz" while I waited for the repair. When I came back to the store, I was advised that the computer was finished and they couldn't save it. Went and got another one (I only got the tower, not the whole nine yards). Typing from the new one now.

In other news, I'm royally pissed that I was denied tomorrow off work. Reason being that I took off the day after Thanksgiving and they wanted to give other people the chance to take off for the holidays. If I'd known that ahead of time, I wouldn't have taken off Thanksgiving. I have an annual dinner on New Year's Day and I'm expecting at least four friends to show up. I could have used off tomorrow to prepare for it but since I have to work, I have to prepare today instead. Sux.

I like it when Jeepy posts all that she's accomplished so that I can either live vicariously, or get motivated.
