It is kind of sad that I feel slightly productive because I finally unsubscribed from several different emails.

I've also played Dr. Fifi, a.k.a the luv doctor. Apparently there is already trouble in my besties paradise. After he unloaded all of his concerns I wanted to scream 'Run, B! Run!' but that is because it reminded me of my ex. I found a better way to phrase it.

I hope everyone has a fantastic New Years day! I've got to resume my regularly scheduled life, already in progress. My nephew will be here soon to spend some time with me & say goodbye before he heads back to the Caribbean. *sniff*

Okay:

Driveway and walkway shoveled; ice melter applied. Ferals fed, and their path to the shed also cleared of snow. Compost taken to heap; plastic recycling put out with rapidly growing mountain of cardboard.

Whiteboard cleared. Papers shredded. Squirrels in yard going bonkers. Dogs beginning pre-supper nagging.

Phew!

I'm exhausted.

I got invited to some NYE party at a bar at the last minute. It turned out to be some singles thing. One of the worst parties ever. Some guy who sat across from my friend and I passed out around 45 minutes before midnight. Not to mention the two couples who practically had sex there. I so wanted to tell them to get a room. No wonder some people choose to stay home that night.

Then I had guests over today for an early dinner. That was fun, but I'm exhausted now. So glad the holidays are over.

I thought of Jeepy as I mentioned that I can't eat the pizza one co-worker makes because they're just overloaded with cheese. She'd understand having a pizza rendered inedible due to cheese abuse

My poor 4-year-old says his ear just started hurting. He just got over an ear infection two weeks ago! Not again! I might ask his pediatrician about getting tubes.

I solved the mystery of the mysterious music playing in my bedroom. Thank goodness! It was a little trinket in the drawer of my bedside table--a rose that plays music that the kids brought home from preschool on Mother's Day. It just started playing randomly for some reason.

Thank you! It's an emerald. But it's more blue IRL than in the pic.

Oooh, your new ring is very purdy, TNB!

I have an overwhelming urge to say 'tin foil' on the radio, rather than '10-4'. I wonder how long it would take them to catch on.

Wunderkind is one of my favourite words. I also like the word paradox

I also like the expression "you have a balance of payments problem." I hope I never have to say the latter.

I think the actor who is in the new milk chocolate M&M's ad is sexy as ...... sexy.

Have you tried putting fresh garlic oil in his ear? My doctor recommended it and it got rid of the pain!

Slice a clove of garlic and put in microwavable bowl. Barely cover in olive oil. Heat until oil boils. Remove from microwave and allow to cool. Remove all garlic pieces; strain through cheesecloth if you must. Put 3 drops of warm oil into bad ear while laying down and lay still for 5 minutes. Put cotton ball (small piece of one!) into ear opening but don't push into ear canal. By end of 5 minutes pain is dramatically decreased!!!!!

Garlic is a natural anti-inflammatory and anti-mircrobial. And you get to smell all garlicy for hours

Hope little one feels much better soon!

Bye bye quiet.
I feel for you. I've been thinking of changing the tv to a different "source" and claiming I can't figure out how to fix it...

The JL stuff is more than just not being able to please people. I'm not bent out of shape about anything she says, but it doesn't mean what she says isn't often extremely offensive or that it's somehow okay because your (general) sense of humor is okay with it and you aren't offended.
I don't even know who JL is, much less what she's said. I think I'm ok with that...

Why do I feel like doing the macarena when I imagine myself singing this song?

I think we can add this song to our Big Head and Big Head do the one hit wonders of the 80s and 90s.

Can we add some Milli Vanilli too? Can we blame it on the rain?

It was falling, falling.
Awww, Ice Ice Baby makes me think of freshman orientation and all of us dancing to it. And I think you should do something by Big Head Todd and the Monsters just because of your group name.

Okay, everyone is downstairs. I come upstairs in the kitchen to throw some food together and put it in the oven. Next thing I know, my husband comes and starts loading the dishwasher. Not a bad thing, except I am at the stove, which is directly across from the dishwasher, which might not be a bad thing in some kitchens but ours is a galley. I kept hitting the corner of the dishwasher with my leg. There is not enough room for both of us.

Ok. Enough hiding.
My mom does that. I think it's her codependency, but any time I try to do anything she makes a point of getting in my way. And gets mad no matter how nicely and kindly I ask her to let me do whatever (which is usually something for her) as I can't physically do it with her wherever she is.
