WAS ALL I COULD THINK ABOUT THE WHOLE TIME. Like I know , this shhh don't add up. All I would whisper into my friends ear was, "wait, I thought they were in Tennessee??" "wait, aren't they in Mississippi?"

All I can say about Leonardo Dicaprio’s performance as Calvin Candie is that it made him less of a convincing actor and more of a convincing racist. He was a little bit too believable for me, and by that I mean the slave master stole the show from the slave.

All wrong or maybe I'm biased, because leo's acting was very confusing, it was like he kept flip flopping his character, I said this in the other thread but I don't think anyone noticed, or is obsessed enough to pay attention to every movement leo does.

THANK YOU. was I the only one that noticed her having really no lines, Leo deo's "sister" in the film had more lines. She had no character. She was almost....dare I say...Bella swanned.

That was a really great analysis written thingy opinion piece.

I'm also kind of over gore and killing in movies, I don't find it appealing as I did when I was younger, which might also be why I didn't like this movie as much as I wanted to. It almost scares me now, I had to look away at most parts and I NEVER look away in movies ever, but now i can't handle it. And I've seen some disturbing stuff real and not real back in the day. I just can't do it anymore, it's weird and I don't' want to watch fake killing or real killing.
Just watching the news. One of our major supermarkets has Hot Cross Buns. The other major one is selling them from tomorrow.

Good grief.

Most Vietnam War movies depict faceless Viets as anything but cannon fodder

I remember when the feud between Spike and QT started.
I am a fan of both, and have seen every movie each has done, other than QT's latest. Honestly, I keep forgetting about it, which is odd for me when it comes to QT films. I will probably wait and watch it when it is available to rent.

Wth. I have had the worst stomach ache for hours.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

But what I am talking about... I have forgotten my wallet the last 2 time I went to the store and going to movies seems to be an unobtainable goal, at the moment. Senior moment, anyone?

At least I just managed to add She's Gotta Have It to my watch list. Do you know, do you know, do you know- it's been awhile.

Okay, I am going to go slowly die now.

I love Spike and Quentin. i think they are both awesome filmmakers and story tellers. its a shame they cant patch up there relationship.

Django was just as QT discribed it in an interview i saw. a spagetti western, with a bit blackplortation through about slavery. he did the film because he felt the youth of today has fogotten about slavery or seem to ignore it. in the interview he said that he has come across alot of young people both black and white who felt that slavery happened a long time ok and it had nothing to do with them, he felt that it shouldnt be ignored or forgotten. I enjoyed it. it's not for everyone. not his best, not his worse. i was expecting more. i loved the fact jamie foxx was so involved in the film; he used his own horse, he help do the soundtrack, he even picked out the horrible teal blue outfit.
A corn husk shortage in Cañon City again huh? Why do I bother? Tamale pie it is, with chicken today.

"The Republican Party has said it's the party of 'family values.' Last night, it turned its back on the most essential value of all, and that's to provide food, shelter, clothing and relief for people who have been hit by a natural disaster," Rep. Peter King, a New York Republican, said in an interview with CNN. The party "has turned its back on those people," he said.
"Anyone from New York or New Jersey who contributes one penny to the Republican Congressional Campaign Committee should have their head examined," King said. It's very rare for a lawmaker to call on anyone not to support his own party.

I'm finally starting to feel better! I've still got lingering symptoms, though.

BUT, I just saw on Facebook that my Arabic teacher now has the same thing! Which sucks, and I feel bad for her... But she still wants to try to have lessons today. UM, NO. Please stay at home! I do not want to be exposed to whatever this thing is again! I can't afford that!

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
