I've been eating too much junk food at work. I realized last night that while work lacks quite a few things, we do have grains like quinoa and wild rice and we have some type of lentils. So I have a couple of quick-cooking things at my disposal for making myself some healthier meals (since I really can't be making dried beans and other time-consuming things at work).

That sucks.

I get these several times each Winter right on the inside edge of my nose and it's so painful. The only "good" thing about it is at least they're somewhat hidden. You can use cold sore cream on it just like you'd use on your lip to help speed it up.

I'm going to be hanging out with a friend I've had since the 3rd grade. I'm so excited! She is my version of w_s (I mean that affectionately and with all the excitement in the world). She and I just click and can spend so much time laughing and enjoying the most irrelevant things that so many other people don't seem to get.

I'm very much excited. We will be heading to a vintage clothing shop in Fullerton that we used to go to when we were in high school. We haven't been there since 1996 so it will be cool to see how it looks now. We were commenting on how we expect it to look like it did back then.

1996! My twenty year reunion is coming up in 3 years. =Insert giant eye smilie here= *gulp*

Oh, and w_s, I'm in Orange County. The central/north part. Where in SD County are you?

Minxy, my 20 years is this year. What?

I have not attended one reunion and if they do not make improvements I will boycott this one. For our 10 year the majority wanted a BBQ complete with booze. The former class president decided on a stuffy gathering at a location that would not allow adult beverages.

No thank you. If I have to spend time around the whole class, I need a damn drink.

How did the time go by so quickly? I thought the 10 year just happened!

I didn't go to my 10th either.

And if there is no booze, I'd rather eat paint chips then to see a bunch of people that I have no relationship with, talking about how they don't remember me (although I'm lying. I'm pretty sure that I'm remembered by a few. I look the same and have been stopped in public before to be told that they remember me from our high school).

And if they don't have Newcastles, I may not go even with regular booze.

(Sounds like I'm looking for any excuse not to go. And I'm am!)

I hope that they decide to do it better this time around Fifi.

My 25th one was a few months ago. Which I did not attend. And didn't regret it one bit. Not even alcohol would assist me in being around the class. For optimal mental health, I need to stay away period.

I don't think I would go to my HS Reunion, i see most on fb, and that is JUST enough, I was thinking about deleting most of them from fb, anyway, Idc about their lives (that sounds harsh but really), only the ones I actually keep in real contact with.

How can it be that I live with two dudes and I'm the only one who isn't all squeamish about cleaning a ****ing drain screen?
I just went to shower and found the screen in a corner of the shower, clogged up with hair and that gunky product one of them uses. Because that makes more sense than cleaning the ****ing screen!!!
It's just hair. Their hair at that because I only shed when I wash mine, and I always clean out the screen afterwards. So I'm the only one who can bring herself to clean up their hair. And their gunky product (seriously, what the heck is that stuff?).

For the first few years I had no urge to attend a reunion, ever. I am middle of the road about it but not mind going to this one IF several of my old friends come in, and the lingering Queen Bee listens to the masses. It was a very laid back class, for the most part.

LadyV, I would not be surprised if i do go, and end up wishing I had not.

The time does fly by. I can remember my father saying that the years would go by faster and faster after my 18th birthday. I thought he was crazy, but it is the truth. You blink a few times and it's 20 years later.
