Not me, I just go outside and start running, and usually I warm up. My poor hands are usually the hardest thing to keep warm.
The problem with really long runs is that even at really cold temps you start sweating eventually, and once you've sweated enough your core starts to get cold again because you're running in a damp shirt, and even if your body was warm for a while you can be a popsicle by the time you get done.

Both of those things sound disgusting. Making my teeth hurt.

I took a cooking class over the weekend. It is weird that I a couple of times I caught myself saying "I wonder if Saria would approve to that"
I am happy to say that the dishes at our station came out the best.
I was not happy that they put me and my date with the only single woman in the class. Yes, I know we are the only blacks in the class. But really, the last thing I want on my date is a tall, thin, long-haired woman at our cooking station. I'm sure she was uncomfortable so I was really nice to her.
The stuffed dates were A-MA-ZING. So simple. I will be making of these

I'm an idiot. I missed New Years. After a nice relaxing day at a Korean spa, I was sitting at the bar waiting on my takeout. I look at the TV and I see people celebrating. I look at my phone, and think "this must be recorded from last year, it's only 11". Um, no. Totally forgot I was in a different time zone. Duh. Good job.
Someone said "but you can still celebrate in Central Time". I felt so bad for them. They'd spend their whole living in a time zone where you watch random people at the intercontinental downtown Chicago rather than the real new years with the ball dropping in Times Square. Poor things.

Yes, it's very sad about Scrills and her alleged "takeout," isn't it?
I've tried slipping lithium into her coffee, but I think she suspects.

Determined to be productive tomorrow. It's so easy to sit around doing nothing all day when you have nowhere to be, no one to see and nothing to do.

I've never attended any of my reunions. I didn't know about the 5th. I know the school found me before the 10th, but I moved again, and didn't hear about it. I got the invite for the 20th, but it was held early in the evening of the second Saturday in Sept. Inconvenient for many parents (we had Soccer season opening.) The 25th was the first Saturday of June, and how we've moved across the country. Hard to get away right before the end of the school year. If it had been two weeks later, I would have been in the state and could have gone. Next year will be the 30th for my class. We'll see what happens. Either way, there will be plenty of pictures posted on facebook, I'm sure, so I'll get to 'see' who goes, anyway.
I have to admit, the distance and the scheduling has made it easy for me NOT to go. I didn't really have to make any decisions. About 5 years ago, my elementary school had a little, casual reunion. they just put out an invite via facebook, the grapevine, word of mouth, etc., and they all met at a local restaurant/bar That I really would have like to have gone to, but again, I'm too far.

Wanna know what my favorite gross dessert is?
Those refrigerator dough sugar cookies with the little shapes in the middle, usually holiday-related - Christmas trees, hearts, etc.
I thought I was buying those today. I get them home, all excited to make them because I needed some food dye in my life... Only to find out that the picture on them (birthday stuff, because they didn't have anything else to pick from) was AIRBRUSHED ON, not baked in! I'm so upset. They just aren't the same!

I attend a HS reunion at least once a week! Everyone still lives in town and we see each other at Walmart all the time and I'm FB friends with my whole graduating class...all four of them + me = 5 total.

I could have sworn there was one more dumpling left. When did I eat it? Did the dogs get it? Why is the bowl clean and back on the shelf?
Huh.

I'm getting really nervous about my secret curly gift. I hope that the customs monster didn't eat it.
