My Internet has been out, off and on, since Sunday. I have spent so much time rebooting the modem, talking to the service reps, waiting on a service person, getting a new modem, etc that I'm just really mad now. He should have checked EVERYTHING the first time he was here. I should not pay so much a month for something for it to be this much of a hassle. I wish I had enough guts to call and insist on being compensated for the week but I just don't. I couldn't even be short with the rep on the phone this morning. It's not like she made my Internet go out on purpose or anything. Ugh.

I was having a similar problem for the longest time (but I kept putting off calling, which was stupid). What ended up fixing it? I disconnected the cable line that goes to my modem from the wall and let it sit for about 5 minutes (no real reason, 5 minutes just sounded good) and then I hooked it back up and I have no idea HOW, but it was just fine after that. Kind of made me glad I didn't call because who knows what they would have done.

I hope you're able to get it fixed. It just about drove me insane.

It seems I don't know how to use a Swiffer? Maybe there was a part missing? Who knows!

I really want a ****ing eclair. I still want to make coffee-filled eclairs. Or napoleons with caramelized puff pastry and a layer of chocolate sponge with alternating coffee pastry cream and vanilla creme diplomat. And maybe crushed coffee bean nougatine. I need to make that happen.

Not having a pet, not drinking coffee, not eating boxed/convenience foods, and having no use for or interest in Trader Joe's (I'd go to visit RCC, though), and loathing crockpots for actual cooking sometimes makes me feel thoroughly alien on these boards.
I'm like the one you point to and go "yeah, that weird one in the corner".

I made my collards the brazilian way (saria link) and I think I over garlice-ed them but they're still good.

Bah. It appears that Trader Joe's has started manufacturing their cookie butter and cocoa almond butter on the same production lines that someone else uses to make Nutella. Because the only thing I'm allergic to is hazelnuts, and suddenly both of those butters are making my mouth itch.

My ability to procrastinate and never leave my room is unparalleled. I just got myself to go out and start the laundry. I've seriously done nothing all day but browse the internet, watch Nikita, and read. Oh, and I went out once to withdraw my rent money and buy cleaning supplies and then clean the bathroom (it was quick, not strenuous work by any means).
