Scrills. Are you okay? How bad is the bleeding? Where is the cut? Is it slowing down at all?
For goodness sakes DON'T ACTUALLY TYPE A RESPONSE. Just think about it.

I know it's not a funny situation, but this post made me laugh.
You probably don't need stitches for that one, but it's hard to say.
I'm really curious as to how scrills cut herself with an immersion blender

I can type with one hand.
I planned on cleaning it by running it under water while it was on. The darn thing wouldn't turn on so I just started cleaning. Next thing I know, it starts up. didnt realize my hand was still on the button.
I put pressure on for 5-10 minutes. still bleeding and throbbing. trying the pressure thing for 20 mins this time

Is it gushing or like casually bleeding in a casual manner?
Either way, if you don't since you don't seem to think you need stitches, you'll get a really weird and cool scar.
My brother slices his hand open with a hook and didn't think he needed stitches so he has a big indention scar in his hand. You could fit a small marble in it.

Is it really deep? If it doesn't stop soon, I would probably get it checked and hope they could give me something for the pain. But I'm a sissy.
Good luck, scrills.

Scrills, I have no advice because I'm about to go pass out now.
I can't imagine how bad that hurts.
Be back after I come to.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

Ack! If you saw a friend with the same injury, what advice would you give? ER or no? Sometimes looking at a situation from an observers pov helps clarify things.
ETA: go to the er

Well, she can't bleed all over the keyboard. It might be difficult to get the blood out from between the keys.
I had visions of her getting it calmed down and trying to type and it splitting open again and again. Finger cuts are the worst sometimes.

Oh, accidents happen.
Do you have any slip on shoes? Any pants that will be easy to get on?
Is there anyone you can call?

Isn't there anyone who can help you, scrills?
Stitches aren't so bad, but I can't say anything about the second reason.
I don't think I'm off-base for being a little annoyed that my ordering "salt and pepper chicken" instead of "salted crispy chicken" as they list on their menu was really that confusing. That dish (a very popular Taiwanese snack food) is more commonly known as salt and pepper chicken in the US! She opened the menu to the main course pages and I got flustered and didn't remember that it's an app, so I couldn't find it and got fried calamari with basil instead, which is good, but I really wanted that chicken!
The 3-cup eggplant was delicious, but a bit sweeter than it should be. I think the ratio was off.

Stitches will be better than what you are experiencing right now. And, your mom would want you to take care of it.
