scrills, I'm glad you took care of that cut. My worry was infection. I understand the wussyness though...I hate going to the doctor, let alone the ER.
why does saria dislike the crock pot so much? I love the idea, though I'm often too lazy to get the ingredients together for the all day cooking event.
Maybe I should just stick with the one glass of wine...

I'm so confused. Why didn't you just scoop the squash out?

Scrills I feel bad for the coming days. That's when those cuts really hurt. The initial pain isn't that bad compared to the day(s) after. Sigh.

It's a long story as to why I baked it with skin on (running behind, needed it in the oven YESTERDAY because OMGDINNERISNEVERGONNAGETDONE, so I cut it in half and popped it in to bake) and I needed it cubed to go in the stuff I was making. Ok, so maybe not such a long story.
I wish Mr. Spring liked butternut squash more, I could eat it all the time just plain roasted.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

Switch that to kabocha and I agree. So delicious! Maybe Mr. Spring would go for kabocha.

I'll have to try some and see, ya never know.
He really does try hard, but I can always tell when he's eating something only because he considers it good for him not because he's in love with it. There is a huge difference in his enthusiasm level for butternut squash vs. a sausage ball.

Butternut is great for purées, whether they end up as soup, in a lasagna (I think he'd like it a lot there), or in a dessert or bread. Croquettes are another great use for the puree. It's more watery and stringy than a kabocha, though, which I love even just boiled in salted water, so I don't find it as good to eat when it's not puréed.

We had a hot, windy day today so I got every jumper and cardigan out of the wardrobe and washed the whole lot, ironed them and put them all away again. Except the ones that are going to the op shop and they're all bagged up with some other odds and sods I culled and are good to go. Washed three jackets too. And tidied out the TV cabinet and the boys bathroom cupboard. Feeling very virtuous.

I think I'm going to go to the health services on my campus since this will be my last chance to use it and get help with my anxiety.
I'm having really bad anxiety. I'm having like anxiety right now, because my family always wants to go somewhere and I hate going places I just wanna be in the house, I hate seeing people it makes me all anxious. I'd rather just be in the house and not feel like everyone is staring at me.
I feel this way when I'm at school also, I don't want to go anywhere cause I don't want to be seen. If I run I run in the morning so I can't be seen.
Its driving me bonkers.
I hate driving long distances it causes anxiety.
I feel like crying right now cause I'm so anxious.
I only like to go places where I know I'll never see the people again, which really makes no sense.
And then I always think about bad things happening, and it's like my brain does it on purpose and people are like then just stop thinking about it bUT I CAN'T. It's like I have no control over my brain. I can't make it stop, I try but I can't stop thinking about certain stuff its like my brain is torturing me.

I'm not into crockpots either but I've been thinking about buying one. I get home at almost 7 and go to sleep around 8-9 (depending on how long dinner takes). It sucks, I'd like to come home and relax instead of rushing to make dinner and eat so I can go to bed.

I'm reconsidering a crockpot due to rising energy prices over here. Apparently they're cheaper to run than the cooker

That is what I was thinking. I drank a ton of water last night.
No twitch today
I am sure the woman at the Estee Lauder counter though I was a freak. I was testing red lip sticks (even though I have a love and mostly hate relationship with lipstick) and she insisted on applying it. That gets on my nerves. #1. I don't like other people doing my makeup. #2. Why should it take 10 min to apply lipliner and lipstick? #3. They put on way too much. Anyway, the whole time she was putting it on my eye was uncontrollably twitching. Lol. I received some strange looks.

I need to finish my cleaning so I can start my beauty day. I am going all out. Conditioning treatment, face scrub, face mask, manicure & pedicure (since my latest dented), and all while watching chick flicks. Ah, it's going to be a good day.

Back in November, I waited until the last minute to buy a dress for the rehearsal dinner for my brother's wedding. The rehearsal was on Thursday, and I bought my dress on Wednesday night after work. Anyway, I grabbed pretty much the first dress that I saw, and it was like $20. Given my "poor college student" financial standing I was like "OMG, that's a little steep!!!" but just went ahead and bought it because I knew anything else would be too expensive.
Flash forward to this month, and I've legit worn it like 15 times since then! I'm so glad I bought it! I always get compliments on it, and it's surprisingly versatile. Target clothing prevails once again!
(Ignore my hair... It was falling out of the hair-band!)

i kid you not:
Ottawa police are warning residents about a gang of 20 wild turkeys terrorizing Barrhaven residents.
(Barrhaven is a suburb on the southwest side of Ottawa, still pretty rural.)
