So my health insurance premium went up twice last year, a total of 25%. It doesn't cover either of my prescriptions (one cheap, one very expensive that I can't afford so I have to buy them in INDIA).
The total amount that I had to pay out of pocket last year, not including the insurance premiums, was over $5000. This was for nothing major, no surgery, just tests and minor stuff. That's insane.
So really, I just don't know how people can think we don't need a total overhaul of the healthcare industry here in the US. And true universal healthcare.

Nah, it's already shipped. I think it may have been because I made the order thinking I'd go home, but of course I didn't.

Kool-Aid, I may owe you an apology. It may have been the orange-pineapple-banana juice that caused the allergic reaction.

That is actually more frustrating

I have Amazon Prime now, so it's free two-day shipping.

Ha ha. No need, it's actually called an Indian Taco, but because I had never heard of one before my mind automatically thought East Indian as opposed to Native Indian.

Lawl, they need to hurry up with my food!!!!!!!!

I hope she lasts, I like her and she's one of the few who had something more than catty whining to offer.

I say this like I'm actually going to watch this mess. Mr. Spring comes in last night while it's on "Why are you watching this junk?" Me all wrapped up in my blanket with a dog on me: "The remote control...tooo far awayyyyy...."

Is this how it starts?? I hate that kind of show and now I'm wondering how it will go.

It smells yummy already. I put garlic cloves in it too.

Did I mention I'm excited? And I DO have a meat thermo.

Did I miss it? How did it turn out?

I didn't have a chance to come back last night and tell the tale of Curlyminx and the roast.

I got it set up and in the oven. At about an hour, I had to leave and pick up the NSSO from work (I guess her mom didn't want to bring her home). It took an hour to go and get back.

Yes. I left the house with the oven on. And I'd leave the house with the dishwasher and the dryer on too (maybe not all at once though... then again, maybe I would *insert lift of right eyebrow*). I live dangerously like that. hehe..

It was a little over cooked, but I took it out and let it rest. I then seared it after 15 minutes. It was delicious.

I then sauteed the onions in the drippings and added them to the top of my roast. I had a frozen bag of southwestern veggies (black beans, corn, and green peppers) that I warmed and had alongside.

I thought I took a picture, but I guess I didn't. I'm totally bummed though, because it looked NICE!

I think I ate too many onions though because I felt sick a little later. I almost ate the whole thing of onions. Not. A Good. Idea.
