I am ordinarily the laziest person on earth but lately I have been super productive. Today I did some cleaning up (dusting, vacuuming, and wiping down of bathrooms),laundry (and folded thank you very much), dyed and straightened my hair, and even had time for a nooner . Must get my thank-you notes done and I'll be all set!

What "new evidence"?
He shot them. They died. There were witnesses. He confessed.
It's over. End it. Please --- end it.

Good luck Rou!!! Here's a pic of my kids in the Jeopardy studio. We visited it a year ago. It's much smaller than you think.

Best of luck on Jeopardy! My DH took the online test and passed (I like to think I helped), then went in to the in-person interview and hasn't heard back. But you could hear back anytime in the next 18 months. So elusive!

OMG....
i cannot FREAKING BELIEVE THIS HAPPENED TO ME....
my Adobe Flash Player crashed on question 27 out of 50 questions!
and the worst part was that i KNOW that i had only missed 2 questions to that point, so i was WAY ahead of where i was last year....
i have sent them an email and a tweet asking about it.
curl friends, i cannot thank you all enough for your good wishes, they were working!
and i knew i would do all right tonight when i got the correct answer to final Jeopardy on tonight's show and not one of the 3 Americans knew the answer to the question!
i'm going to go have a BIG glass of brandy and cry my eyes out....

make that 2 glasses of brandy!
and some of the questions were so STUPIDLY easy...
who's the supermodel host of Project Runway?
who was "Rolling in the Deep" in 2011?
Celie is a character in which award-winning 1982 novel?
who's most famous artworks had titles like "Drip No. 10"?
what country is bordered by Sudan to the south and Libya to the west?
what's the appropriate name of the exploratory vehicle that landed on Mars in the summer of 2012?
Panem is the country in which post-apocalyptic novel?
who is the title governess of a Charlotte Bronte novel?
um yeah... like most people wouldn't get those...
*sigh*
it's a good thing i live alone in a house because i actually did some shrieking instead of crying. my whole life i've been the person with the freaky memory who hears something/reads something/sees something once and files it away in order to drag it out when watching this show. unless we were playing teams, my family refused to play Trivial Pursuit with me within 2 years of the game coming out. i can answer questions about places i've never been, books i've never read, music i've never heard, movies i've never seen...
most of my first dates the past few years have consisted of guys thinking they can beat me at trivia; so we go to play BuzzTime and i wipe the floor with them. only one came back for more, but after the 3rd date i never heard from him either.
i even got answers right when Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter missed them!
i think i'm going to go have a shower and shriek at the cosmos some more...

- This thing with my neck...I just can't any more and I feel like I'm going to have a nervous breakdown. I think after dealing with this for 20 years and finally going to physical therapy for it and it only feels like it's getting worse, I'm just almost at my breaking point. Today while doing my neck exercises it tweaked and has been killing me all day. I was doing what I was supposed to be doing and THIS happened! Tomorrow will be a better day.
- Mr. Spring had to read Miranda rights to someone at work and I burst out laughing when he told me. I absolutely can't imagine him having to do that and actually holding a straight face at the same time.
- Calvin is the best snuggle bear on the entire planet. I don't know what I'd do without him.

dear idiots of the local press...
first appearance court is ALWAYS held in Courtroom A (which seats 10). we do not care who the accused is.
and... even better... we in court services DO NOT HAVE A SAY in scheduling courtrooms! this is COMPLETELY at the discretion of the judges and justices of the peace and their trial coordinator. we are NOT allowed to interfere with their processes. it would be a violation of the Constitution of the country for us to do so.
even better, the accused himself, our "esteemed" (ha!) mayor, and his high-priced lawyer, didn't appear before the JP; said lawyer sent his clerk to file the motion for disclosure.
so there really was *nothing* for you to see with your idiotic:
Justice requires that justice is not only done, but is seen to be done. If not seen, it’s not done.
argument...
besides, even if we DID let you in to the court; i bet you'd be screaming about not being able to tweet and email in court. you DO realize, don't you dorks, that the provision approved in this province only applies to lawyers and accredited journalists appearing before the Superior Court of Ontario starting Febraury 1st and this matter is only in the Ontario Court of Justice????
no, i'll bet you just don't get the difference and we'll have to endure the whining of the press all over again on February 26th...

Ugh. This is the worst part of the semester, in my opinion. With every syllabus I'm handed, I get one more stress pimple, I swear. I know it's like this every semester, and every semester the workload ends up being manageable and I somehow find a way to get through it. But right now, the list of crap I have to do this semester looks insurmountable.
I just have to keep reminding myself that I always feel like this, and worrying about it isn't going to accomplish anything! Also, I have to remember that professors seem to enjoy spending the first week or two trying to weed out the weaklings!
