It sounds ridiculous, but I am so close to getting my biggest loan to $10,000, and the thought of how fast I can whittle that down is amazing. If I get rid of that loan, I can think about affording an apartment in NY by myself. I can think about actually opening up a place. I'd still have one more loan to contend with, but it's the lowest interest and with this one out of the way I could pay it off that much faster.

Saria, that is not ridiculous. That is exciting! Way to go.

Yeah, those suck. The Carmex lip balm works really well for me, even after the cold sore rears its ugly and painful head.

Never thought a $1.50 product could beat $16 Abreva, but fortunately I was wrong. The cherry smells really good, too.

What's a good kind of place for a lunch date?

Like say during the work day?

Today is my lunch with my best friend. I'm so excited! Yay!!!

In other news, I've got a side job lined up to create some forms for my father's wife's work. Nice! And as soon as I hung up the phone with my dad, a co-worker asked me to help her with a form for one of the cities we work for. I helped her and she sent the form to one of the partners telling them that I am the expert. Score! This is the partner that pulled me into her office a month or two ago.

I'm very happy right now. I hope I can stay happy this whole day. It'd be a miracle. ....and I used to be so happy.

You could have found me being SCG in the photobomb pic most of the time. Now I hardly crack a smile most of the time.

SCG-please always make better choices then me with partners. Make sure that they don't steal your wonderful effervescence.

I'd say a good place for a lunch date is somewhere casual and comfortable. Maybe take the lunch a little later so that it can be slower and not so hectic.

I'm go to a vegetarian/vegan cafe for lunch that has couches and a very laid back feel to the place. Of course, I'm not going on a date, but I am getting together with a friend that I want to be able to talk with and really spend time with... not just shoveling food in my face for my lunch hour.

Ugh, yea Carmex does nothing for me. There's an unconfirmed amount of one of the active ingredients which strips the healing property and keeps you dependent on the product. It is like magic for some, and like nothing for me. For me a good Zovirax and Polysporin combo works the best, but once it's there it's there That and a dab of nail polish remover if I can catch it early enough - in this case I saw no warning signs. UGH.

Thanks, LA and ruralcurls!

In forever-alone news, the other day someone else offered to read my palm. When I laughed and told him how my friend said I had no love line, he looked at it and basically went "huh, you have a very interesting hand". Translation: FOREVER ALONE!
He agrees that I will indeed have money. Still waiting on that one. That winning lottery ticket can fall out of the sky any day now.

Thanks! We've been on quite a few dates but they've been dinner/movie or drinks. I'm picking because he's meeting me at my office and I am terrible at making decisions

We're seeing each other twice tomorrow so laid back and casual would be better. Thank you thank you!

How so?
So, the way a commercial dishwasher works is that it fills itself up with 60 liters of water to start with, and uses it repeatedly, with a small amount of turnover, since it rinses with 2 liters of fresh water every cycle, so it drains a little bit each time as well. But, since so much of the water stays in there each time, it gets gross. Part of making detergents is making sure that food doesn't redeposit out of the water onto dishes. Periodically, you change the water for fresh water.

I have heard first hand accounts of places who weren't removing ANY food from the plates before putting them into the machine. So, big chunks of hamburgers and fries were getting sloshed around all over dishes cycle after cycle.

What prompted my comment today was hearing someone talk about a place they were earlier this week where they were changing the water in the machine weekly, at best. WEEKLY. So my brain combined the two, and realized that my dishes could be getting washed with water full of week old hamburgers

Really, it's hot enough to kill germs anyway. But it's still gross gross gross.

Makes me only want to eat at nicer restaurants that inherently care more what is happening in the kitchen, or places that serve me on plastic plates.

-Can someone make me lunch?

I couldn't find anything so I ate a poptart and that just...isn't what I wanted. A kitchen full of food and nothing all at the same time.

-Saria, you're awesome. Congratulations on being so close to such a huge goal!

-I'm so glad that appointment is over.

-If you made it this far down my list you realized long ago I have nothing to say.

If you happen to see this at your local target, please buy this and I will pay you!

I can't find it anywhere

I've been to both targets and it's all gone. I knew I should of bought it when I first saw it. They even took the section it was in away.
