I'm giggling at my kitten. She found one of Davin's mittens and is having a ball playing with it. I'm probably going to have to get Davin a new pair, and it's totally worth it. The kitten is picking it up with her claws and tossing it into the air, then leaping up to catch it. So cute! I'm glad she's finally stopped hiding under the china hutch all the time.

Oooh she might be a candidate for these: Grreat Choice&#153 Sponge Balls Cat Toys - Balls - Toys - PetSmart Willow used to jump up and catch them when she was small. She still loves them. I wouldn't recommend the ones they sell at Petco, they had a terrible smell.

My 24 year old nephew, who I adore more than my music & polish collection , has finally picked a career. While his slightly younger brother is away at medical school, he begins training to work at nuclear power plants. :-/ He was apparently inspired by the nuclear scare in Japan. I have mixed feelings about this, but it beats his past dreams of being a shrimp boat captain.

I love that crazy kid.

I have just been notified by the people at my job who makes at least 13,000 more then me that people in Canada don't speak english, they speak Candian.

thelio, you have to tell them that you will translate for them because you speak fluent Canadian!

you "talk" to me on here all the time and we have no trouble understanding each other!!!



i also think you need to ask for a "bilingualism bonus". this is what people who work for the federal gov't who can speak English and French get up here in The Great (Not-So) White North!!!

at first i thought they were. but then i turned around and saw who said it, and these particular 3 people have said things that... how can i put this? were not intelligent before. so as i watched them with straight faces having their "serious" conversation, they continued to discuss the various difference between canada and america including the way they pronouce canada and canadian (which they demonstated with strange made up accent). i hate to say it and it is sad to say, i am almost certain they were serious. 2 other co-workers also took a pause and we had a "are they serious?" moment, and we came to the conclusion that they most likely were.

I can pull the kids out of their activity. Then we only need to come up with $800. If we get a tax refund check, we can dip into that for a few months. So much for the first real vacation we were going to do.
