Seriously, Dude? You owe Brooks Brothers less than $100 and they're harassing me for it?

Take some of your ridiculous savings and get them off my back.

So my mom tells me that she bought gluten-free rice.
"Mom, all rice is gluten-free."
"No it's not."
"Yes, it is. Rice doesn't have gluten."
"But isn't gluten in the starch?"
"Gluten is a protein found in wheat and its relatives. Rice doesn't have gluten."
"Then why don't other brands say they're gluten-free?"
"Because rice naturally doesn't contain gluten? Glutinous rice doesn't have gluten either."
"Your dad's cousin said she buys expensive rice because the doctor took her off rice because it was upsetting her stomach. She buys some of that organic Lundberg stuff."

Aaaaaah!!!! Yes, rice can cause digestive problems, but not because of gluten! It's a starch, and many people have issues with refined starches. Guaranteed the woman is eating whole grains like brown rice which have been shown to be more digestible. Serenity now!
And yes, I'm aware that perhaps some brands might be processed in places where gluten-containing foods are as well, but that's not the same as actually containing gluten!
aaaarrrrgggghhhhh.....

now my mother is going to go to Nana's in Florida on the same dates my cousin and i wanted to go....

i am NOT going on vacation only to have mother ordering me about!

I'm sort of in denial that I may possibly have a gluten intolerance and I envision myself living off of nothing but rice every single day. With lots of butter. Lots.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
Four little ones on mums side of the family now.

She spent quite a lot of time and money buying them all special Xmas presents, a Christening present for one and birthday presents for two of them.

No thank yous from anyone.

Of course all there is on my fb wall is all the various mums thanking one another for the kids gifts. Not one for my mum.

It pisses me off. The way my mothers family treats her has always pissed me off but I expected more from the people who have married into the family and are perfectly pleasant at big get togethers. So my mum gets to see you all twice a year instead every other day like the rest of you. JUST SEND A FREAKING THANK YOU NOTE!!!

Murrrcat, I PM'd you.

The library smelled like farts, too.

I opened up to my sister (which I hardly ever do, since it has never gone well in the past) about how down I've been lately. The past couple of weeks have been rough. I'm just frustrated and depressed.

Granted, maybe a text message wasn't the way to go, but so is the world today.

This was on Thursday.

She completely ignored me.

She texted me this morning.

To ask me to babysit tonight.

I completely ignored her.

Sitting at the Olive Garden next to 2 old people grousing about their Martinis. the bartender used too much vermouth, he didn't ice the glasses. I don't know what else they said. And they both ordered 2 drinks each at the same time...annoying lushes. Another server just said, "Long time no see" to them. Annoying old lush regulars.

I don't see why that's enough to label them lushes...that comes off a bit judgemental IMO.
I ain't thirsty. There's plenty of fish in the sea, but I don't want all of them, can I have some standards? Or do we just have to settle, for someone's who meh and will do.

AND a server just said, "Right behind you" but the mgr she was speaking to still almost crashed into her. Then he knocked over a tray. Maybe that one was partly her fault though. Ahhh, life in hospitality.

Lots of customers are leaving upset tonight. I won't complain.
