I smelled lovely when I left my house this morning. However, in Spanish, I was sitting next to someone with some major B.O.

Now the stink is stuck in my nose, and I feel like I'm the one who smells. I'm not even near said person anymore!

if this is in relation to the amounts i posted on Narnia's thread...

that's for a REALLY specific job that requires, at a minimum, 5 years of post-secondary education, but more likely 7 years.

it's also what the gov't pays, which tends to be higher than the private sector, because we want to attract and keep our workers (especially in social work, where the case loads are *horrendous*).

it's also the rate in this particular province in Canada - if you saw the marginal tax rate attached to that, you'd probably have your eyes bugging out of your head.

but that marginal tax rate also meant that i could have surgery with complications that kept me in hospital longer and off work for 2 months without going bankrupt and for not losing everything when my father battled cancer. it's a trade-off that's worth it to me.

i suspect the numbers vary across your country, too, depending on where one lives. that salary would barely keep someone above water in Vancouver and Toronto, but i was able to buy a house where i live with a substantially lower income and i'm not house poor or subsisting on ramen noodles.

I have. She gets her first check on the 25th. I've requsted that she leave soon thereafter. That I don't want her there by the time I pay rent for next month.

The text messages have gotten ugly. I really hope she leaves by then or before.
