I really really really really don't want my mother to come to my new play this week.

I wasn't hiding it from her because she wasn't supposed to be in town.

But now she is going to be in town.

I had put the event on Facebook so she has all the details.

I already told her that I didn't want her to come.

I tried to play every angle.

"It's far."

"You already SAID it was HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE the last time you saw it...so why would you want to see an even LONGER version now?"

(The play is almost two hours long. The twenty minute version premiered last year. My mother told me it was horrible, that the entire audience thought it was horrible, and that she was happy she didn't bring any friends because she would have been embarrassed.)

Her response was, "Your play wasn't the ONLY one that was horrible that night! The ALL were!"

Because insulting strangers along with me makes it all better.

I kept telling her, "I DO NOT WANT YOU THERE."

She keeps saying, "Why WOULDN'T I come?" and even went so far as to say, "I can't wait to see it!"

(BUT YOU ALREADY SAID IT WAS HORRIBLE WHY DO YOU EVEN WANT TO BE THERE??????????)

I'm ready to throw-up. I just don't want her there.

Aside from telling her it was cancelled and hoping to get away with that, I don't know what else to do.

I can't say exactly how long it took, but I can tell you that they're covered in syrup and there's no chance I can ever wear them anywhere besides work! Awesome!
