apparently my leaving work 2 hours early to take Fin to the vet was too much for the world to handle and my office EXPLODED (not literally of course) and I have enough work at 7 am to last me the entire day....

so drunk people pulled all the plants out of our yard. Yay I love my age group. Not, do you see, they have no respect for property (it's not even ours the complex is gonna have to fix it), why can't you just not be destructive while drunk, is it supposed to be funny or cute? It ain't.

I watched season one of scandal but I just didn't like the whole president and olivia, ew. I don't condone those kinds of behaviors even if his wife didn't like him, it's just rude.

Like PLL how aria dates her old teacher/was current teacher also. People were like awww I was like,
That's just creepy and wrong. I don't care if he's hawt or not, and he's totally not he's so edward cullen sensitive and nice guy etc etc gag me with a spoon. WHY Y'ALL PROTRAYING THIS AS GOOD. When they break up, I smile.

everyone stay safe and warm!
We got about a foot and its still coming. My 25 min drive took about an hour and I passed a plow in the ditch on the way. Should have stayed home!

Be safe all!

lol ‘explain this’

excuse me if i’m misunderstanding, but it seems like you guys are implying that women are born feminine and then femininity is demonized in order to subjugate them

in reality, women are born into a sexist society which, in order to subjugate them, forces them into a gender role which revolves around buying costly products such as make up and clothes, painting themselves to look prettier (and some women do it for themselves, for the art of it, or for other women/people who are not men, but they are absolutely the minority - most women wear make up bc they are self-conscious without it), being passive and being polite (good qualities in a vacuum, but bad to encourage in women in a world which is literally assaulting and killing them daily)

the good qualities in femininity are still about serving others, being in tune with the emotions of others but never fully expressing your own so to not be too intimidating and become a shrieking harpy

femininity is not inherently or wholly negative, but much of it IS in fact designed to contain and marginalize women

masculinity and femininity do not allow for an equal range of expression and opportunity. if they did, men and women would be equally oppressed, except in different ways, and we would not think of gender hierarchy as a patriarchy, it would be something else entirely
Yes.

We were talking about poop and farting at work and my coworker was mad that her husband was encouraging and laughing at their daughter farting at home.

My coworker was trying to tell her that girls are not supposed to do that. And it's going to be a problem when she gets older. Urgh. Same woman who only talks to me about cooking and kids when there are other males in the room that actually have kids and cook!!!
I feel your pain. I spend 12 hours locked in a room with 2 people.

One of my co workers joined a fire department not too long ago. Most of the departments just started accepting women in the past 5 years, and there is only 1 to 2 women on some departments. It's been a round and round issue. What does she do in her interview? She tells them that she does not want to fight fire, *per se* (damn phone). She will if no one else is available, but she mainly wants to cook their meals and clean the station so the men folk can take care of other things.

"Please say it ain't so" was all I could think when she said that.

my 10-minutes by bus and walk took half an hour. not bad when you consider that everything is almost knee-deep.

and there's a band of VERY heavy snow tracking toward us off Lake Huron right now...

With the PMS I have experienced since Monday, I would swear it has been a full moon. It's been one of those weeks of pure torture because I couldn't wear elastic waist pants 24-7. I have been a form of exhausted that borders on being narcoleptic, and when When Flo woke me up this morning I cried uncontrollably for 20 minutes. Now I feel better.

Thank God this behavior is typically rare for me.

I just got really pissed and yelled at SO and I have to say, damn, it felt good.

Iíve been trying so hard to avoid that, trying to be all mature and responsible and whatever. I just gave in to my emotions, let them carry me away and it was AWESOME.

He totally had it coming, too.

What! No washing their clothes or dabbing their chins? Maybe throw in patching the knees on their pants or holes in their socks for good measure.

Thelio, it seems you need to start leaving mental health pamphlets on their desks.

Why am I already so starving? I ate breakfast 4 hours ago, it if ridiculous that I am this hungry already.

I'm trying to hold on until at least 11:00. If I eat too early then I'll be hungry again before the end of the day.

Sigh.
