I know that this sounds so stupid, but I'm going to rant about it a little bit anyway...

If one more person orders a "cinnamon DOL-SAY latte" I might have a rage blackout.

Don't get me wrong... I'm not an idiot. I know Starbucks is the furthest thing from "authentic" ANYTHING. But... Come on y'all. How hard is it to pronounce dolce? Like really? I'm sure you've at least heard of Dolce & Gabbana. Just pretend you're saying that. Please?

And one more... About 90% of the people I've encountered from around these parts have the most irksome way of pronouncing latte. I can't blame them, per se, because most of it can be blamed on the accent. But it still makes my eye twitch a little bit after a long day.

I will now accept applications for valentines. Must be non-ugly. Non-douche preferred, but I'm willing to hit it and quit it, so long as you make a zipper for your mouth.

Haha! My friend named his dog Dolce. He took him to the vet and when it was his turn they were calling, "Dulse? Dulse?" And my friend was like, "Ooooh. That's us."

Not that I don't REALLY want to risk my life to ring-up pants, but I really hope my store closes tonight.

I'd say something like that, but I like shoveling.

SCG, I hear you. I twitch when people ask me for tortillas and it rhymes with flotilla.

Usually latte sounds something like... Luoh-TAY. With a very hard t. Like they're spitting. Omg. I'm getting angry.

Sorry RCC. I know you are a snow lover but the amount we are getting is supposed to be ridonkulous!

I find that mispronunciation of Italian or Italian based words is common here, which is weird since there's a hefty dose of people who are very proud of their Italian ancestry. Having lived there for four years, it gives my lots of twitches.

It is, in all honesty. I recall the two feet we had a few years ago. We didn't close, and the streets were poorly plowed, if at all. I stayed with my BF, helped shovel sidewalks, and then walked to work for a week. I couldn't have walked from my place.

Ironically, my borough was unburied in one day. The city proper sucks.

ETA. It's a good thing I can't see likes in the app. I can post with 'like' influence.

I was just thinking about how suckish it is for retail workers when there is bad weather. I hope you get home safe!

Yeah I have traumatic flashbacks of all the snow we had two years ago. So. Much. Shoveling. I am hoping CT/MA will be prepared enough to keep the roads clear.

I must admit the cranky old lady in me sees snow as a big mess to clean up.
