I was reminding of how much I hate people. Thanks for telling me that I need a masters degree because my B.A. has a shelf life that doesn't past age 30, and that I should stop whining because I love school and would never think of dropping out. I'm sorry but whatever my feelings are about school the fact that I pay my tuition and no one else supersedes that. If I feel like dropping out because I don't think I will achieve the goals I set out to achieve I think that is my prerogative, and you can go **** the hell off. I hope you fail all your ****ing courses you stupid *****.

It seems every night when we go to bed Mr. Spring finds a gazillion things he wants to do. The man just can NOT go to bed. So I'm usually laying there waiting on him and complaining and threatening separate bedrooms. All jokingly of course just to give him a hard time, but last night I had a throbbing headache and this conspired.

Me: Why is my head hurting sooooo bad? Ugh.

Him: Because you said yes.

So I'm outside my teachers office....he has office hours only until 9:15. There's been a chick in there for 30 MINUTES NOW. There's two people waiting behind me. Well this was a waste of time and waking up!

Mr Spring is a younger, hipper version of Mr B. We've had very similar conversations. His response is usually "Well, you married me!"

I often say to him "What was I thinking...." when he's doing something ridiculous. I say it a lot.

It's good to laugh, isn't it?

Still have a darn headache this morning and WHO thought an early appointment at the dentist was a good idea?!? I'm sick of having them poke around in my mouth, but I'm ready to be done there for a while.

You can actually rent a boyfriend in China! Why act like it's such a new idea? We've been doing this in the US for years...we call them gigolos.

Aww. I mention my childhood friend in the seizure thread and then watch a makeup tutorial that reminds me of her. This woman has the same white blonde hair, beyond (the) pale skin, and 95,000 freckles. She was the cutest little thing in elementary school.

I need to call her.

I adore Lisa Eldridge's tutorial for Tippi Hedren's makeup in The Birds, despite the fact that she uses a little light blue eyeshadow.

Light blue eyeshadow gives me 70's and 80's flashbacks.

Claudine - I just got wind of one of your babies is going to be a tripod. I am so sorry! I've been mommy to a 3 legged doggy named Bear and now have a 3 legged cat named Jeri. Animals adapt unbelievably well and very quickly.

Bear was shot by a neighbor and the bullet shattered his femur. There wasn't enough bone to fix it so the leg had to go. He lived about 10 years after that. It was his back right leg and he could still run, play and jump over a 4 foot high fence. He was the sweetest doggy I had ever seen! Bear was a rescue who had been extremely malnourished and the vet told us he'd probably go blind later in life because of this and he did. So I had a blind 3 legged dog. We kept him in a fenced in acre yard and never moved anything. We had to weed-eat around the grill, the swingset, the picnic table, everything, instead of just moving them to mow and then moving them back. Bear knew where everything was and he would run and play like nothing was wrong with him at all. To get him to chase me, I would run and talk and slap my thigh and he could always catch me! Yes, he was handicapped but he never knew it. He lived a long, happy life and I still miss him.

Jeri is high priestess of our home now. She had to have her front left leg removed. The worst part of this is she is a lefty! When you hold something out to Jeri, she reaches for it with her left shoulder. That makes me sad! But she does whatever she wants. She runs and plays and acts berserk like all cats do. She plays tag with me running through the house. She fetches her toys. She can jump up on the bathroom counter so she can drink out of the faucet in the sink. She doesn't know she's handicapped either.

Both Jeri and Bear would limp if they walked because that is when the movement would be best supported by the fourth limb. But they both could/can run and gallop and climb and jump like every other pet I've ever had.

(((HUGS))) to you and your baby!

It seems like everyday i get news of someone having cancer or a tumor. i just heard a supervisor crying in her office. i asked if she was ok. her sister has a tumor. it doesnt look good.. just last week i found out my grandfather has cancer. a grandma's sister has cancer. a friend has tyroid cancer. younger then i am. my little 14 year old cousins friend has a brain tumor and will probably not survive. i'm beginning to think that maybe everything i have encounter up to this point, i thought was obstacles preventing me from becoming a vet. maybe im not meant to be a vet. maybe i suppose to be where i am in research. i was looking at a masters program in tumor biology. which will pretty much just futher my knowlegdge in oncology. i can also go on and get a Phd in it. i work for the univeristy so i can go for free.

Goodness I work up a sweat doing stuff on crutches. It's 17 degrees out and I think I need to wear a t-shirt to work tomorrow. Every time I crutch down to the lab and back (which is not that far) I'm dripping with sweat.

I have to go down to the stock room for some stuff and I'm avoiding it because it is so effing far away.

Sorry about (((Polly))), ((Claudine)). She'll be better than new, though. It's amazing how well dogs and cats adjust to this.

I need to get off my butt and do something. If I don't, they will have to send a search party to find me amongst my dirty laundry.

Why can't clothes wash themselves, Gawd? Why?
