^ Hey, Hey! He Ugly.
Every once in a blue moon I smell a bubble bath I once used. I adored that stuff. It was in Victoria Secrets first line of bath & body products. The gel was navy blue and had flowers on the bottle. It was delicious, okay more like earth shattering, but for some reason they discontinued it soon after it's release. I always assumed it was because women refused to get out of the tub when using it.
Who needs beautifully scented raisins?
Yep, I'm bored.

When I get paid I want to buy a thank you gift for one of my friends.I was feeling so bummed out about my research paper and she sat down with me and tried to get me to think through the steps I need to get in done properly even if it meant changing my thesis. She is also the person who convinced to stay in school after I wanted to quit this semester. Bless her soul.

Hehe! I turned it down.
I think that's the first time I've ever done that... Including my last job. I could never say no.
I just... I don't WANT TO! I don't want to work tomorrow night! Especially not when I already agreed to pick up his Saturday shift next weekend, too! Like, no. I refuse.
I said "Ohhh, sorryyyyy... I have a huge project due and I really had allocated tomorrow to work on it..." I mean. I DO have one due. Soonish. And I should work on it tomorrow! So, I wasn't totally lying.

I know I haven't really posted for a long time, but I lurked and you've been in pain for so long. I really hope you get to a point where you can live on your terms because you deserve that. Not this.

It's good to say no SCG. I'm the yes person at my job BC sometimes I'd rather work as an excuse to not go out LOL. But when you say yes or are too available they will walk all over you or get mad when you say no when there are 40 other people in your department who never take shifts yet you're mad at the people that always help out!? So now I say no.

Haha! Um I'd be lying if I said I don't sometimes take shifts for this reason.
Anyway, that's a good point! I feel like that's what they're starting to do with me. If I really needed the extra money I would've taken the shift. But since I don't make enough for a few hours to make a difference, and I know there are other people who can probably do it... I'm gonna go ahead and say no.
Also. Call me crazy, but I'd rather that they NOT monopolize my entire weekend. I might not have that much of a social life, but this girl needs at least one night devoted to wearing pajamas and vegging out.

Me: "You need a hair cut."
Son: (stamping foot like an almost 3 year old) "No. I want to yet it grow."
A different day....
Son: (on floor crying and kicking)
Me: "What on earth is wrong with you?"
Son: (tears streaming down face) "You said the *B* word."
Yep. I had the nerve to tell him it was time to take a bath.

Lol!
This made me think of a former coworker. She went out on disability, and then you saw all sorts of pictures on FB doing stuff she was supposedly to injured to do at work. She was fired.

It is good to say !NO! at work. I was a peon for years, literally. Things were different the year I was hired, and changed for the better when I reached normal crappy status. I had to say yes to everything. More than once I worked 12 shifts in a row. Because of this I will now say no to anyone and everyone, every single time, and not feel bad about it.
I've been here 10 years now...

My Grandfather had a stroke earlier tonight. My cousin called, then my Dad called. My Grandparents live about 4 hours away, so my Parents and all my aunts and uncles are leaving in the morning. Because they are so far away, I'm going to my parents to watch the dogs and horses at least for tomorrow, then see how things go.
I don't even know what to think or say right now. My cousin and I must have been silent for 2 minutes on the phone. I just don't what I'll do if something happens to him
