The best thing by far about this stupid show is Spy Daddy, aka Jack Bristow, but Spy Daddy is better. Bless you, Garber, for making this show somewhat less unwatchable.

Why do I insist on writing research papers?! Why am I not good at math? That way I could crunch a few numbers and call it a day, but noooooo, I had to like words! Dammit!

Why is Taylor Swift's "Trouble" the story of my life?!

I know!!! I didn't even know that it was her. I was so ashamed of myself when I found out.

That and a Bieber song that I haven't heard in a while, something about the grass isn't green on the other side, it's green where you water it.....

Soooo true:

Quote:
It reminds me of the "bike to work" movement. That is also portrayed as white, but in my city more than half of the people on bike are not white. I was once talking to a white activist who was photographing "bike commuters" and had only pictures of white people with the occasional "black professional" I asked her why she didn't photograph the delivery people, construction workers etc. . . . ie. the black and Hispanic and Asian people . . . and she mumbled something about trying to "improve the image of biking" then admitted that she didn't really see them as part of the "green movement" since they "probably have no choice" ---

I was so mad I wanted to quit working on the project she and I were collaborating on.

So, in the same way when people in a poor neighborhood grow food in their yards . . . it's just being poor --- but when white people do it they are saving the earth or something.

your convo about watching LoK with your moms reminds me of the time when my sister was talking to me about LoK (her only exposure to it is through my blog) and she asked me, "The hot guy breaks up with the boring chick, right?"

I laughed really hard, deepest apologies to all my favorite asami fans

^^^ What was the purpose of that interview supposed to be??? It's by Bon Appetit, so you'd think it'd be about food, but this lady mostly doesn't eat solid food. I'm pretty sure that question about what she wears to bed at the end still wouldn't make sense even if I knew WTH the interviewer was going for.

I've just worked out how much it would cost me to replace all my furniture in Australia (thanks IKEA). Holey moley. It's actually going to work out cheaper to ship it over. More saving is needed!

So, I didn't get general anesthesia for my ankle surgery this morning (well, they gave me enough that I basically took a nap) but they did a nerve block and I can't feel most of my right leg.

It is an extremely disconcerting feeling not to be able to wiggle my toes or anything.

I'm curious - is the nerve block an injection? Like when we get novacaine for teeth?

Hope the surgery gets great results.
