What RCC said. You often point out how things don't bother you, Jeep, such as that confederate flag thread, but it's really not the point. Some things are wrong, period. Some things have a greater effect than whether or not they bother you. Some things shape the way people perceive and react to certain groups. And then there are things that don't bother you (general you) because they aren't about you in the first place and don't affect you. For example, cultural appropriation doesn't bother you because it's not your culture being appropriated. Or my friend having the audacity to compare calling an annoying customer a ***** to calling a male one a dick when I call him out on it and trying to justify how he's referring to just one specific woman and not all women.

I have no idea how they come up with some of these titles, or in what realm they are considered appealing.

Juana I tried to quote you but my tears of laughter blinded me.

*Oh god. I think I've pulled myself together now. You are right, they are all sucky. I think the same 2 people have been drawing the covers since 1980.

My friends mom had 4 book shelves full of romance novels. We would pull them out, look at the covers, and laugh for hours. It made her mom so mad, but we couldn't help ourselves.

**do note some of those are fake/joke titles on actual covers, and real. i thought i posted "housewives in handcuffs" but it did a double of scottie mcmullet. she blinded me with science fiction was another great one.

Different, not double. Whatever!

I give up on this phone, forever.

I've got to stop laughing and go to bed.

I don't want to go to Victoria if the fires are so big the smoke is in another city that far away.

Good thing I'm not trying to look hawt for anyone at school.

I woke up this morning with just ONE inexplicably puffy eye. >_> It's the same eye that has a giant pimple underneath it, too.

I think this means I deserve to treat myself to coffee this morning, probs.

Heh, my husband is like you in the mornings. If I have to tell him something, I'd better text and email it to him or he won't remember it at all.

OTOH, he is chatty as can be at 1 a.m and I'm trying to .
