LOL, I should say that to the judge tomorrow. "Yeah, I screwed up, Your Honour, and I know I should follow procedure, but he's being a douche."

I guess it gives me comfort that I'm right. His officers were out of line and he has no defence to that so he's going to insist on strict procedure to drag this out as much as he can.

I've learned something that will help me next time, and I am determined to win this in the end. But I still feel like crap about it and have to explain to my client tomorrow.

A super hot shower* feels so freaking good when one is not feeling well. Lobster, anyone? I am so thankful to have not only hot, hot water but the water pressure to go with it. We had neither of those at our house in CT.

*murrr, I know you can't identify with that, but you should try it.

Saria, is there a butterscotch pudding recipe that you like? That sounds like something worth trying some time. I love butterscotch.

I'll tell you what's really nice is taking a shower really late at night when everything is quiet and still, people sleeping. There's something to it, as if the world stops for just a moment.

I usually made a recipe by Dorie Greenspan that I tweaked to have a little less sugar and include dark brown sugar instead of light:
http://tastingspoons.com/archives/3401
I also usually added a teensy bit more Scotch.

These have a slightly more complex flavor:

http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2...rs-recipe.html

http://m.epicurious.com/recipes/food...Pudding-107528

For a classic pudding (no eggs):
http://herbivoracious.com/2012/05/bu...es-recipe.html

I basically salt butterscotch pudding to taste because it really needs a decent hit of salt. And I pretty much always add alcohol.
