I love inn n out more than I love most things. animal fries are where it's at!!

I want a waffle maker MORE THAN ANYTHING.

I think it's helpful for people to share their views, especially if they contradict. I think I've learned a lot through nc.com.

the cute guy at the register at yogurtland was flirting with me and asked for my number, and although he was cute, I think I'm really happy being single right now? I'm young!! gotta sow my wild oats (just kidding, no oats are being sown! just not feeling that whole relationship ish right now).

I really, really want to like sunflower seeds, but I just don't.

Oh well, I kept on trying. Time to give up.

I think the real issue about rou responding to Saria as she did (and rou, if I'm in error, please let me know) is that Saria's posts are often negative and critical of others. That's her choice. However, I wonder if the real issue isn't the fact that she (Saria) is unhappy in various ways, and criticizing others is a way of displacing that.

I personally wish the best for Saria, who is beautiful and talented and often very, very thoughtful. I have found, in my own life, however, that it's easier to dislike or criticize others when it was I who needed to make a change.

Many people here won't believe it, but no harm or unkind judgement is meant by this post.

Peace.

I've posted about her before, but...

My aunt.

She had numbness in her arm for 3 days. She went to the ER last night because suddenly she could barely move it. She was admitted. After several tests that revealed nothing, she left ama today, because, and this is verbatim, "Those doctors just want any excuse to steal money from insurance companies."

1)She has excellent health insurance. Pretty much everything gets covered, not many questions asked.

2)She has money coming out her ass. She often chooses to spend that money by dropping a few thousand on spiritual/cleansing retreats where she spends a long weekend having nothing by clear broths and teas and chanting/meditating.

3) She will try any kind of "natural" remedy that some random "guru" recommends. She once took something that gave her explosive diarrhea and made her vomit...AT THE SAME TIME!

4) She once paid for an "expert" to give a lecture to the family on urine therapy. Yes, people, I sat through a talk about the benefits of drinking your own urine. And then get lectured by my relatives over my rudeness for calling the guy out on his lack of knowledge on anatomy, physiology, and vaccines. Sorry not sorry, but unless you sign my paycheck I'd rather be right rather than nice every time.

It's worth noting that out of seven siblings, she and the the other one who's all about "natural" are the only ones not in great health.

So, yeah. I'm really worried about her, because as much as ***** about her I really do love that nut. At the same time, I'm annoyed and thinking, "That's what she gets."

I hope it is anyway. :-/ When people do what they can on a community or ... level, that does not mean they do not care about world wide women's issues or want to exclude. Helping in any way is nothing to spit at, and evolution of movements has been a good thing.

Most women receive a standard education in this, by birth alone, and some further that education through school. Some are further educated through their life, and/or personally experienced acts of violence against women. I know all about the latter. No one can teach me about "what can happen". I know, first hand, and I sure as hell didn't feel like I could report it when I was 20. I work closely with women who do all that they can to change this feeling, and I am there to pick up the phone and help when it does happen, and she does decide to report it.

If being a part of something on such a small scale makes me a person that does not care about world issues, or dig deep... so be it.
I wasn't talking about you specifically, Fifi.

I was responding to the idea that Saria is unhappy because she does post rants/articles.
maybe posting rants/articles make her happy.

study shows women are getting fat because they do less housework. hmmmm

People, including men, are getting fatter for various reasons among which is the decline of physical activity in everyday life. But yea, there's too much else going into this for housework and weight to directly correlate, most likely Mr. Study Sponsored By Coca-Cola.

I miss my eyeliner. A lot.

A whole lot.

On a positive note my eye is looking better, although it still hurts. At least nobody can tell anything is wrong with me unless they look really hard, instead they'll just wonder why the dead woman is able to walk around in public because that's how I look without my eyeliner.

^ Hahahaha, been there Spring! Hang in there!

Also, I look dead without eyeliner, as well. I get so annoyed when I see other people walking around without it, and looking ALIVE!

My ****ing roommate ruined a perfect pint of Ben & Jerry's by choosing to "clean the fridge" the day after I buy my ice cream. I cannot get over how much it just tastes like ice particles.

You know my plight!

I'm not even that great at applying it or anything, but I sure feel weird without it when I glance in the mirror. I sort of startle myself. At least I can still fill in my eyebrows and wear a little powder so it's not all bad.

springy,
I hate to tell this but the baby calvin has been wearing your eyeliner lately. He's been sneaking out to punk concerts. Punky Poochie and the Funky K-9s!

I got my hair cut by a man for the first time yesterday. I'm not impressed. And he was kind of a DB.

ETA: He also had rhinestones on his jeans.

So that is why he's sleeping so much and my makeup remover is missing.
