I dont know if you seek advice, but:

I've seen brunettes go blonde. My hair will only go red. Or orange. Or gold. Its funny bc my natural hair color is very ash, but it pulls very warm with bleach. It doesn't matter if I spend hundreds of dollars at a salon or do it at home. I get the same results.

The lightest I can get my hair without bleaching first is a dark golden blonde. I get that with medium ash blonde dye. If I bleach it first I end up strawberry blonde, which actually warms up even redder over time and I quickly have ugly roots that I don't want to deal with - and I have to bleach it twice. Which I cannot do everytime I need touch ups. If youre going lighter and youre brunette, always use ash or natural bc its gonna come out golden anyway.

Color Oops or color remover will most likely turn your hair orange, bc it removes all color and you then put a desired color over it. In all cases choose a shade lighter than the one you want bc it will be darker.

Don't try to use the speedier time dyes. The hue will not come out the same. John Frieda dyes are WAY too dark. The color boost package in Natural Instincts will make your color more red. Feria fades quickly. Colorsilk isnt bad and its cheap, but the colors aren't as rich and shiny.

If you really are wanting to go lighter from brown, invest in 2 boxes of color. Your hair will only lighten to a certain level w/o bleaching though.

If you decide to go back to brown you may want a little darker color and def an ash tone.

I get to a point where my hair just wont take the color. I end up wasting money on boxes of color for nothing.

If you didn't actually need that information, sorry to bore you all with that.

Red tones are so hard to get rid of so I've grown to accept them. Brass Free by NI is good.

Interesting iroc. Thanks. I used perfect 10 to try and even out my roots and highlights. That made me orange all over, even the highlights.

I used a toner to try and get rid of the orange. That didn't work.

I then used a darker ash blonde to cover it up. Went gold.

Tried the toner again. No joy.

This time I tried dark champagne blonde. Gold again, with a few red tones. But darker in natural light.

My hair is now over processed and god knows what colour. At least I didn't turn it green. I did that once.

Thelio ~ Can you start a thread with Buzzfeeds? I get bored looking on that site, but you post great ones! I can't always open them right away though and this thread is too long to scroll back through looking for them!

TIA

They're on my face too. HOW DO FLEAS get on your face.

wtf is this. I don't have any new ones so I guess the fleas didn't follow me home.
It depends on the person. Some have allergic reactions to bites and they can take longer to heal and some heal in no time. I have not had a bite in many years, but they always took awhile for me.

I have never had a flea bite on my face, though.

Get a doc to look at it.

** How many bites or bumps do you have? If it's a ton, you probably would have noticed fleas on you. That would be more like an infestation.

I have like 20 on my arms and hands,

about 15 on my face and 10 on my neck and 3 on my feet. about 2 on my leg.

about 5 on my back.

Thats what I don't understand. I don't see fleas.

I haven't been around any animals.

I know what fleas look like on animals as I've removed them from my cat at home (I HAVEN'T BEEN HOME so don't even bring her into this)

Thanks, iroc! We do have neighbors, but there are lots of trees between all the neighbors. It's the best of both worlds. I'll let you know when we put it on the market

Could it be contact dermatitis? Fleas go with animals, so..........it sounds unlikely that's what you're suffering.

Just washing won't work, supposedly they can live in a millions places. I made the mistake of watching Orkin on Undercover Boss a few weeks ago, then did some reading on them. Horrible little creatures.

Bed bug - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The only reason I thought of those was you saying no animals, and I think you live in an apartment building?

OMG prayer circle that you don't have bed bugs, murrr. They're an expensive, difficult to kill nightmare.

yes I live in a town house, i showed my roommate but she said we would all have bed bugs if I had them, so I don't know.

I did stay in a cabin over the weekend and that might of been invested with bed bugs or fleas or something but no one else that went has them....this is ssooo annoying.

but if it is bed bugs then one could of traveled back with me. OMG. Must burn down room.

I don't think I have that stuff here, my room and mattress etc looks nothing like that. I think I would notice that, how would one not notice that, I don't know how anything would live in my room anyway. I anoint my room in bug spray almost weekly (I know I'll probably turn green if i get angry one day YAY I'M DR BANNER) I thought about spraying my bed last night but then I thought I'd probably die lol sleeping on poison.

Ughhh, murrr, I'm joining in your prayer circle!

My sister had mysterious bug bites all over her body this summer when we got back from staying in state park cabins. She, too, was the only one who got them. We never quite figured out what they were, because eventually they disappeared, but not without first panicking about the possibility of bed bugs. She briefly considered destroying everything she owned.

What color is your natural hair color?

Whenever I have too much red I have to go darker than usual to try and cover it. And sometimes you just process it too much and the dye just wont take.

To brighten up my natural color I use light ash brown. Medium brown is more like dark, and dark brown is pretty much black, but when I'm covering a lighter, too red color, I have to use medium ash brown or else it doesnt cover.

Natural Instincts in the lightest ash blonde can be used as a toner, but I've never had good luck with toners.

I use Medium ash blonde to lighten. The color on the box scares me bc I dont want to go that light, but it never does. Dark ash blonde does nothing. I mean nothing. Im like, oh, so I just put chemicals on my hair for no reason. And that sucks bc the dark ash blonde picture on the box is the color I want. I no get.

Scanner land must think I am drunk today. I am beginning to wonder myself after that word scramble.

At least I apologize and correct rather than saying "uh bleh, bluh, bluh, blah, blah" on the radio like some people I know.
