The only thing I scored while out shopping today was this:

I am kind of in love with Ruby Woo, and am glad I insisted on trying it. I wanted something bright and bold. I believe the woman at the MAC counter was color blind. When I asked what the best reds were for fair skin and lighter hair she pulled out all the muddy orange reds. No, no, no!! Do you want me to look like some form of death?

*Might I add that 1 guy waved, and 2 whistled at me mere moments after I put it on. Of course they were all ugly as homemade sin, but still... It's magic.

SCORE!!!!! My current work wardrobe is light on tops that I really like - the pre-pregnancy ones don't work for a nursing mother - so I'm always looking out for new ones. Today I was passing through The Bay (my favourite place to shop - it's a pretty nice department store, kinda like a Nordstrom) and they had a HUGE sale. Long story short, I snagged FIVE tops that look great, at least two of which could also be worn casually, for the grand total of $67.03! And good brands - 2 Ralph Lauren, 1 BCBGeneration, 1 DKNY, 1 Donna Karan. And they are tops that can go from winter to spring, and work well with the suits and stuff that I already have.

We popped in to look at luggage the other day and all clothes were 70% off. Also lots of kids stuff left.

I have a hard time with reds. I was not completely sold on the Estee Lauder red I purchased. It's beautiful but was only 85% the right shade on me.

JHC, this pocket pack of Nicorette is about the most poorly designed thing I've ever encountered. I have now resorted to mauling the "dispensing" contraption section just to get at the damned gum.

Gentle reader, it was not a pretty sight.

It's not rocket science. It's just, this isn't mine so I don't use it. How hard is that? HOW HARD IS THAT?

One clothing trend I LOVE for this spring is all the lace / eyelet / broiderie anglaise. I've always loved those, but they weren't always easy to find, so I'd make them, or look in vintage stores or on line... well, now they're in all the stores, so I'll be stocking up!

I treated myself to a pumice scrubbing stick for the toilet with a HANDLE. Fancy, fancy!

What I really wanted to treat myself to was this patio set at the hardware store that I made the mistake of sitting in and it was HEAVEN. Those chairs was so cush and comfy I wanted to buy a set for the living room and trade in our recliners. LOL But at $699 for the set (four low chairs and a conversation table - wtf, is it gonna talk to me haha) that won't be happening. Every time we go there I'm going to sit in those chairs and dream.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
I treated myself to 20 minutes in the tanning bed. And I also got a great hoodie with my fav colors red and black and with skulls! I love skulls. And only 12 bucks.

Oh my word, they have just the chairs for sale and we wouldn't have to buy the whole set. Oh goodness... I wish I hadn't seen that because it's still a lot of money at $250 for 2 (on sale! holy jeebus). But no sales tax this weekend...

Someone take the internet away from me.

Our landlord may be buying a pergola for the back patio *crosses fingers that pans out* and it would be so nice to have these comfy chairs out there to enjoy the summer.

It doesn't look like much in the picture and I normally hate a low chair, but I sat down in this and it was instant love. ETA: And it rocks!!
