Oh, Cailin. I am sorry for your loss.

Yes, I would shovel. If I was unable to, I would do my best to find someone who could.
what is wrong with some people?

Teenage girls charged with online threats against Ohio rape victim - The Globe and Mail

The real horror of the Steubenville rape case? It wasn't wrong, say many Twitter users - The Globe and Mail

and this:

Public Shaming

along with the truly atrocious "reporting" by CNN following the verdict, i have to wonder what is WRONG with people????

is this the same part of Ohio where that high school girl called for the assassination of the president last fall? she got outed on the internet, what makes those people above think that they won't be getting visits from the police. Anonymous is already vowing to track them down and send their info to the authorities...

Fat does not make you fat. It's actually pretty important.
American media on the India gang rape: Omg those barbarians are out of control! Look at us, we're so ahead of the times!

American media on the Steubenville rape: Omg look at the lives we're ruining by convicting these 16 year old rapists!
Hmm
CurlyLaura - I'm glad you dad's surgery went well, must've been scary for you all for a while there.

CurlyCanadian - Sorry to hear about your grandfather.

wild_sasparilla - Sorry you're still struggling after losing your grandfather too and hope the internment goes as well as it can.

Scrills - Hope they catch the lowlife who got your money and that you get it back.

Sending hugs to you all.

Will someone please get back to me? I am very concerned, but trying to contain myself so I don't act rashly.

Thanks fifi. I'm about to catch the cat and then haul my arse halfway across the country.

Is it wrong that I'm concerned about the money I won't get from work because of this? It shouldn't matter but money is tight right now. #baddaughter.

When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

My heart is broken for a FB friend, her dachshund died last night. He was about a year older than Calvin and they both had some of the same health problems and shared a lot of the same personality traits. We've always joked that they must be long lost brothers. She's got so much turmoil in other parts of her life right now and her little guy was her best friend and constant source of comfort. I was sort of expecting it because she had to take him to the ER last night, but it's hitting me much harder than I expected. I'm not a crier and I can't seem to stop at the thought of the heartache she must be feeling right now.

I've got to go find something positive to focus on.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
You are a kind and dear friend with a big heart and great empathy. That's positive.

Sometimes try roller sets - classic glamor but I prefer my curls.

I would love to quote a post right now but my app is a a**hole.

IROC... Love the Norman Reedus video. I watched it, and another one with different clips, on my tv this morning. I was shocked when I saw one quick flash of the Radiohead video for Fake Plastic Trees. Otherwise known as my (RH) song, just ask anyone.

Norm is even cooler now.

And dangerous.

I can't wait for my copy of Gran Cocina Latina. I'm always iffy on books about Latin American cuisine because, particularly when they get to the DR, the information and recipes are woefully inaccurate, but reading about how much work and research Presilla put into this just completely sold me.
I really want a bowl of frijoles borrachos. Beans, bacon, roasted poblanos, tender pork shoulder, and beer. Goddamn.
